Chandrababu Naidu is the richest CM of the country: ADR report
 
●        A recent report was published by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) on the Chief Ministers of 29 states and two Union Territories of the country.
●        25 Chief Ministers or 81% are millionaires.
●        Two of these Chief Ministers have assets worth more than Rs. 100 crores.
●        Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh is the richest Chief Minister of the country, whose declared assets are Rs 177 crores.

Punjab National Bank's thousands of crores of fraud in Mumbai branch
 
●        Punjab National Bank , the second largest public sector bank in the country, has caught fake forgery of $ 1.77 billion.
●        Punjab National Bank has seized unauthorized transactions through a broker from Mumbai, which was benefiting some selected account holder.
●        The bank has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange about this.

Proposal to allow PPF account to be closed before timing
 
●        The government has proposed to allow the closure of public provident fund account prematurely and to allow small savings account to be opened in the name of minor.
●        The Finance Ministry said on Tuesday that the proposed legal changes in the Finance Bill 2018 are intended to provide flexibility in the operations of the accounts under the Small Savings Schemes.
●        With the existing benefits guaranteed under the bill, new benefits have also been proposed to the depositors.
 
Reserve Bank's new rules for quick solutions for stranded debt cases
 
 
●        The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made a major amendment in the current system of settlement of stranded debt.
●        These rules have been made in line with the bankruptcy and credit redressal disability code (IBC).
●        This will help in solving the problem of debt trapped in the banking system immediately.
●        On this move by the Reserve Bank of India, Financial Services Secretary Rajiv Kumar said that the notification issued by the Central Bank on Monday night is 'awake to sleep' for the failed borrowers.

India's wild area increases by 1 percent
 
●        In the last two years, the forest area of India has increased by one per cent.
●     It has increased from 7,01,495 square kilometers of 2015 to 2017 in 7,08,273 square kilometers.
●        That is, the total forest area has increased by 6,778 square kilometers.
●        During this period, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha and Telangana saw the highest increase in forest area.

12.9% increase in budget allocation of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment


●        In the Union Budget for the year 2018-19, the budget provision of the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry has been increased by 12.10 percent.
●        The Ministry had allocated Rs 6908.00 crores in the year 2017-18, whereas for the year 2018-19 this amount has been increased to Rs. 7750.00 crores.
●        In addition, in the ratio of 2017-18 in the year 2018-19, the budget allocation for schemes has been increased by 11.57%.


Sun's profits down 75% from deferred tax adjustment of 513 crores
 
●        The country's largest pharmaceutical company, Sun Pharma, has lost 75% in the December 2017 quarter, but its operating margin has seen a slight increase compared to the previous two quarters.
●        The company's profit in December quarter stood at Rs 365 crore, while Sun Pharma had a profit of Rs 1,471 crore in the year-ago quarter.
●        The company's operational income declined 16% in the December quarter to Rs 6,653 crore, which was Rs 7,925 crore in the year-ago period.


Muthoot Finance expects 15% growth in gold loan business 
 
●        In the third quarter of fiscal year 2018, Muthoot Finance gold loan business stood at Rs 28,265 crore.
●        The company hopes that by next financial year, it will achieve a growth of 15% in most of the business.Gold Financing Company, Muthoot Finance, has targeted to increase the gold loan business by 15% in the next financial year.
●        The company will be in the new market for this and will work to simplify the loan structure of the customers.
●        In the third quarter of the financial year 2018, the company's gold loan business stood at Rs 28,265 crore.

Indian military access to Oman's Dock Port

Army sanctions purchase of weapons worth Rs 15,935 cr
 
●        The Central Government approved the plan for purchase of some necessary weapons for the Armed Forces on February 13, 2018.
●        The Defense Purchase Council, which was headed by Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, gave its approval to defense deals of 15, 935 crore.
●        In this, a lot of attention has been paid to provide better private weaponry of soldiers deployed in frontier areas.

●        All the shares of the Netherlands-based company are owned by Airtel and it is also the International Holding Company of Bharti's Telecom Assets in 14 African countries.
