Approval for proposal to withdraw pending Nalanda University (Amendment) Bill, 2013 in Rajya Sabha
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to withdraw pending Nalanda University (Amendment) Bill, 2013 in the Rajya Sabha.
●        Nalanda University was founded on the basis of the joint press statement issued in the fourth East Asia Summit held in Thailand in October 2009.
 
 
Cabinet gives approval to increase the additional share capital of HDFC Bank to a maximum of Rs 24,000 crore
●        Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to raise additional share capital to M / s HDFC Bank Limited to a maximum of Rs 24,000 crore.
●        It includes premium above the sanctioned limit of Rs 10,000 crore, which will not exceed 74 per cent of the paid-up equity share capital of the bank.

●        In his inaugural address, Shri Nadda said that India is committed to the transmission of lymphatic filariasis and to eliminate this disease from the root so that future generations remain free of this disease.

●        Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to present the Dham Safety Bill 2018 in Parliament.
●        This bill will help States and Union Territories to adopt unified dam safety procedures, ensuring the safety of the dams and the benefits of these dams will be safe.
●        This will also help in the protection of human life, animal wealth and property.
 

Policy Commission will issue comprehensive water management index
 
●        The policy commission will release the overall water management index to achieve the purpose of 'All-inclusive development' campaign on June 13, 2018.

Cabinet clears agreement between India and Peru
●        The Union Cabinet approved the agreement between India and Peru.
●        This agreement was signed in May 2018 in Lima, Peru.
●        The objective of this agreement is to establish collaborative institutional relations in order to increase technical bilateral cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, and equality in matters of renewable and renewable energy.

●        India-Vietnam: To issue postage stamps jointly on 'ancient architecture', there was mutual agreement between the postal department of the Ministry of Communications and the Viet Nara Post.
●        Joint postage stamps were issued on 25.01.2018.

Approval of MoU between ICMR and INSERM, France
●        The Union Cabinet was apprised about the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) made in March 2018 between the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) and the Institution National The La Santé de la Recherche Médical (INSERM), France.
●        The objective of this MOU is to cooperate in areas of mutual interest in the fields of medicine, biological science and health research.
 
US approves India to sell Apache attack helicopter
 
●        The US government has approved the deal to sell 6 AH-64E Apache Attack helicopters in the $ 93 million (around Rs 6,285 crore) to the Indian Army .
●        US State Department reported this.
●        Apache Attack Helicopter is considered to be the world's deadliest attack helicopter.
