Prime Minister will receive the French President Mr. Emmanuel Macro in Varanasi tomorrow


●    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will receive the French President Mr. Emmanuel Macron in Varanasi tomorrow morning.
●    Both politicians will depart for Mirzapur, where they will inaugurate a solar power plant and then they will return to Varanasi.
●    In Varanasi, both politicians will visit Deendayal Handicraft Complex.
●    They will interact with the artisans and their artworks will be in direct form.

Premium tag for coffee grown in the Araku valley


●    The Coffee Board has applied for the registration of Araku Coffee under geographical indications for the conservation of the distinctive identity of the coffee being developed by tribal communities of the Araku valley located in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.
●    Information about this effect was made by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, C.R. In today's reply in the Lok Sabha, Chaudhary gave a written question.

●    Under National Road Lighting Program (SLNP), so far 49 lakh LED Street lights have been installed in 28 States / UTs.
●    The program was started by the Prime Minister on January 5, 2015, with the purpose of replacing 1.34 million conventional street lights with energy-efficient LED lights by March 2019.
●    The SLNP is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL), a joint venture company of Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) under the Ministry of Power.

Nepal's Prime Minister Oli wins trust vote with two-thirds majority


●    Nepal's newly elected Prime Minister KP Oli won the historic vote of confidence in the lower house of the country with a two-thirds majority today.
●    Officials said that on February 15, Oli, who was appointed the Prime Minister, got 208 votes out of the total 268 MPs present in the House of Representatives (lower house of Parliament).
●    Oli (66) got support from all other political parties, except the main Opposition Nepali Congress and some smaller parties.

Foreign investors pulled out Rs 6,000 crore from Indian market

●    Due to better opportunities in other emerging countries, withdrawal of foreign investors from the Indian capital market continues.
●    Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPI) has cleared nearly Rs 6,000 crore in just 6 business days of the current month.
●    According to the depository data, between March 1 and 9, March, FPI has raised Rs 2,410 crore from the stock market and the date
●    3,473 crore withdrawal from the market. Thus, these investors have withdrawn a total of Rs 5,883 crore.

SpiceJet deals with CFM International for 810 billion rupees 

●    SpiceJet, the cheap aviation company, said on Saturday that it has tied up with CFM International to buy 155 engines of Boeing-737 MAX aircraft, with an approximate value of 810 billion rupees.
●    Spares engines will also be purchased with this.
●    CFM develops engines of international aircraft. It is a 50:50-share company of American General Electric and France's Safran Aircraft Engine.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) initiated special audit process of government banks

●    Concerned with fraud cases in banks, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has started the process of special audit of government banks.
●    The main focus of this audit will be on trade finesans and guarantees issued by banks.
●    The RBI will also see whether the banks had prior permission from the credit limit and whether or not they had adequate cash margin available before issuing the guarantee letter.

Air India's outstanding amount of Rs 325 crore

●    In order to improve the loss of Air India, the government engaged in all measures is not paying the airline due on time.
●    VVIP Chartered flights were used for foreign visits, but the government has not paid 325 crores of rent.
