One lakh fifty thousand bio-toilets were installed in train coaches


●        With the introduction of 57 bio-toilets in Gwalior-Varanasi Bundelkhand Express in January 2011, Indian Railways have installed about 1.25,000 bio-toilets in their coaches till March 2018.
●        It is about 60 percent of the coach of the Indian Railways coach.


Prime Minister will inaugurate Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial in Delhi tomorrow


●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate Dr Ambedkar National Memorial at Mahaparinirvan, located 26 Alipur Road, Delhi, by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
●        This memorial is dedicated to the life and contribution of Dr. Ambedkar, the Constitution creator of India.
●        The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on March 21, 2016.
●        Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891 in Mau, Madhya Pradesh and was the first law minister of independent India.
 

Mission foundation


●        In an effort to connect Delhi's young children with education, the Delhi government has started the mission foundation on April 11, 2018.
●        Through this mission, the Government of Delhi has set a target to teach all the students from 3rd to ninth grade to the state within three months and to provide general mathematics education.
●        For this campaign during the summer holidays, the government has urged the candidates through radio and meetings to stay in Delhi during this period and send children to the classes based on activity.
 
Union Cabinet approves host agreement between India and ISA


●        The Union Cabinet has approved the approval of the Ministry of External Affairs for signing the agreement and headquarter agreement for entering the headquarters (host country) between India and the International Solar Coalition (ISA) on April 11, 2018.
●        This agreement was signed on March 26, 2018. The HQ agreement will get institutionalized form of working arrangements between India and ISA.
●        This will help the ISA to become an international intergovernmental organization.
 

Policy Commission Forum for North-East decides five-point development mission


●        On April 10, 2018, the first meeting of 'Policy Forum for the North-East' was held in Agartala, Tripura's capital.
●        In addition to Chief Ministers of Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya, senior officials of Policy Commission and Central Government participated in the meeting.
●        The purpose of launching a policy forum is to look at new ideas and approaches for the overall development of this region, apart from regular activities.

PSLV-C41 successfully launched IRNSS-1 navigation satellite


●        In its technical flight, ISRO's Polar Satellite Test Vehicle PSLV-C41 successfully tested Satish Dhawan Space Center of Sriharikota today with 1,425 kilograms IRNSS-1I navigation satellite.
●        According to the PSLV-C 41 scheme, the ISP was sent from the first launch pad at 4 to 4 min (4: 04m).

NHAI signed an agreement for its first international project


●        Indian National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has organized the Yagayee-Kleva section of the Highway (40/0 miles) for easy transport of vehicles with the aim of promoting trade, business, health, education and tourism between India, Myanmar and Thailand. 
●        On Monday, NHAI signed with M / s Punj Lloyd Limited - Varaha Infra Limited on the agreement.
 

UAE approve equal pay legislation for women and men


●        The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Cabinet recently approved the Equal Pay Act for women and men.
●        This new law will ensure that all women of the country get equal pay compared to men.
●        Under this, the equal contribution of men and women will be ensured in the development of the UAE.

●        Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth has come first in the rankings of the World Badminton Association (BWF) on April 12, 2018.

●        Viktor Axelsen of World Champion Denmark is at number two with 75470 points.
●        Korea's Son Wayne Hu is at the third spot with 74670 points.

India's first 5G laboratories established in IIT-Delhi


●        Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has set up a radio (non-wire) laboratory for setting up of state-of-the-art 5G equipment, research and standards.
●        The launch of this 5G laboratory will be on 13th April.
●        This is the first laboratory of its kind in India.
 

TCS becomes the country's most valuable company
 
●        The country's largest information technology (IT) company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) crossed the market capitalization level of Rs 6 lakh crore on Thursday.
●        In this way, TCS has left Reliance Industries behind and again became the most valuable company in the country.
●        At the end of business on Thursday, TCS's market capitalization stood at Rs 6,00,569.45 crore.
●        In the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company's shares closed at 4.04 per cent higher at Rs 3,137.30 per share.

●        On Thursday, the government appointed Bhanu Pratap Sharma, former secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training , as the new chairman of the Bank Board Bureau (BBB).
●        He will replace Vinod Rai.
●        Vinod Rai was appointed the first chairman of BBB, he was appointed for two years.

Reserve Bank imposes penalty of Rs 3 crore on IDBI Bank


●        IDBI Bank today said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) imposed a fine of Rs 3 crore on it.
●        Central Bank has imposed this penalty for not following the Income Recognition and Asset Classification (IRAC) rules.

Government oil companies will take 50% stake in 44 billion dollar refinery


●        Among the world's largest oil companies, Saudi Aram will take 50% stake in the $ 44 billion refinery and petrochemical complex being created by government petroleum companies of India.
●        It will be one of the largest refineries in the world.
●        Saudi Aram will also ask for permission for fuel retailing in India. It is one of the big investments in the petroleum sector of the country.
