India Post Payments Bank will enable digital payments in post offices by April 2018

ONGC to buy stake in offshore concessions of UAE Petroleum Company

Whatsapp Payment Application

●    A well-known senior lawyer and human rights activist Asma Jahangir died on Sunday in Lahore.
●    She was 66 years old.
●    He was admitted to the hospital because of a heart attack, and he died there.
●    In the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav, Osama Jahangir raised a voice against the Pakistan government.

State Bank loses more than Rs 20,000 crores in debt
 
●     State Bank of India, the country's largest bank, has put a staggering debt of Rs 20,339 crore in the year 2016-17.
●    This is the highest amount in government banks which have been deposited in the discounted accounts.
●    Thus, in the year 2016-17, a total of Rs 81,683 crore was deposited in the accounts of the banks.

Singh brothers extricated 500 crore from Fortis
 
●    Shares of country's second largest hospital chain, Fortis Healthcare, climbed 18 percent on Friday.
●    The reason was that the founder and promoter of Fortis, Mr. Shivinder Singh and Mr. Malvinder Singh resign from the company board.
●    Singh brothers removed $ 7.8 million (about Rs 500 crore) from the company.
●    On Thursday, Singh Brothers resigned after the Delhi High Court order.
 
 

18 percent GST to update base
 
●    Updating Aadhaar card is going to be expensive soon.

SAIL net profits of Rs 43 crore
 
●    Net profits on the unified basis of the country's largest steel company SAIL, stood at Rs 43.16 crore in the quarter ending December 31, 2017.
●    SAIL gave this information in the notice given to BSE.
●    The company had a net loss of Rs 794.84 crore in the corresponding quarter of the financial year 2016-17.
 

SBI net loss of Rs 1,886.6 crore in third quarter
 
●    State Bank Group has suffered a major loss in the third quarter of the current financial year.
●    Apart from this, the NPA of the bank has also increased to Rs 2 lakh crore.
●    In the third quarter of the current financial year, there was a net loss of Rs. 1,886.6 crore.
●    The group had a net profit of Rs 2,152 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
