Government announces measures to help sugar cane farmers

●   The Central Government has announced several measures for the payment of arrears of sugarcane farmers.

●   The Government has announced the assistance of Rs 5.50 per quintal for the Perai Season 2017-18 for the assistance of sugar mills.

Railway will be given compensation if there is an accident at the time of boarding or De-boarding in the train: Supreme Court

●  The Supreme Court said on May 09, 2018 that the passenger's death or injury to him while landing or climbing a train is 'unpleasant incident' and in such a situation the passenger is entitled to compensation and this situation can not be considered as negligent.

●  This decision has been given by the bench of Justice Adarsh Kumar Goyal and Justice R. F. Nariman.

Yogi government need 12 thousand crore loan for Purvanchal Expressway

●    UP Yogi Adityanath Government needs a loan of Rs 12,000 crore to make the country's longest expressway.

●    The 341-kilometer long expressway between Lucknow and Ghazipur is named after Purvanchal Expressway .

●   Next month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can do the foundation stone, after which the construction work will begin.

Tata Steel reached NCLAT against Liberty House bid

●   Tata Steel has filed an appeal in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal against the order of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), to consider the lenders on UK's Liberty House Group bid for the bankrupt company Bhushan Power and Steel.

●   Liberty House gave the bid on February 20 after the deadline for Bhushan Power and Steel ended.

●   Therefore, the banks had earlier rejected it.

Airtel will buy Telenor India without bank guarantee

●   Telecom Department (DOT) had betrayed the bank guarantee of Rs 1,499 crore in front of Bharti Airtel to buy Telenor India , which has been rejected by the Supreme Court .

●   This has cleared the path of this deal.

●   The Supreme Court dismissed the DOT's plea against the interim order of the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal on April 12.

●   The Tribunal had given Airtel permission to buy the Indian unit of Telenor, a Norwegian company without bank guarantee.

●   After winning the election of Mahathir Mohamad, for more than six decades, defeating Najib, he also established a record in the country. 

India's billionaire Mukesh Ambani joins Forbes list of world's most powerful people

●  Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani has been ranked 32nd in the 2018 Forbes list.

●  Forbes has released the list of the world's most powerful 75 people.

●  In this list, where China's President Xi Chunfing is on top, PM Modi is at 9th place.

India will host the 15th Asia Media Summit

●    India will host the three-day 15th Asia Media Summit (AMS -2018) in New Delhi starting on May 10, 2018.

●    It will be organized jointly by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Indian Institute of Mass Communication and Basil till May 12.

●    It is being organized for the first time in India.

Special green number plate approved for electric vehicles

●   In order to promote electric vehicles, the government has approved the special green license number plate on Wednesday.

●   In these plates the number will be written in white words and digits for private e vehicles, but for the taxi, their color will be yellow.

●   Simultaneously, the government is considering allowing the people of 16-18 age group to run electric vehicles.

Indian economy to grow at 7.4 percent this year

●  The IMF has said that in the current financial year the Indian economy will grow at a rate of 7.4 per cent.

●  For the next financial year, the IMF 's assessment is also good for the Indian economy.

●  According to the international organization, the Indian economy, which is overcome by the ban on bonding and GST, will move ahead with growth rate of 7.8 percent next year.

French Cup: PSG won the fourth consecutive title
