Former UN Secretary-General Boutros-Ghali passed away.

 Boutros-Ghali, a veteran Egyptian representative, passed away at the ripe old age of 93.

About Boutros-Ghali:

Egyptian negotiator served one term as secretary general from 1992-96 and was first African to hold position
Boutros-Ghali, the scion of an unmistakable Egyptian Christian political gang.
He ventured into the post in 1992 during an era of emotional world changes, with the breakdown of the Soviet Union, the end of the Cold War and the start of a unipolar time ruled by the United States.
