First International Arbitration Centre Inaugurated at Mumbai

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on 8 October 2016 inaugurated India’s first centre for international arbitration in Mumbai.
●   Inaugurating the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration (MCIA), Fadnavis said that India will leave its benchmark worldwide in business dispute redressal with the setting up of international arbitration centre in Mumbai.
●   The Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration (MCIA) is located in Express towers, Nariman Point.
●   It is being headed by CEO Madhukeshwar Desai.
●   The MCIA will be governed by a 17-member governing council.
●   The Arbitration Centre is in sync with the Prime Minister's Make in India campaign.
●   The Centre would provide a time bound and cost-effective facility and reinforce investor confidence.

पहले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मध्यस्थता केन्द्र का मुंबई में उद्घाटन

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने 8 अक्टूबर 2016 को मुंबई में अंतरराष्ट्रीय मध्यस्थता के लिए भारत के पहले केंद्र का उद्घाटन किया।
●   इंटरनेशनल आर्बिट्रेशन केंद्र मुम्बई का उद्घाटन करते हुए फडणवीस ने कहा कि भारत दुनिया भर में व्यापार विवाद के निवारण में मुंबई में अंतरराष्ट्रीय मध्यस्थता केन्द्र एक बेंचमार्क साबित होगा ।
●   इंटरनेशनल आर्बिट्रेशन मुंबई केंद्र (एम.सी.आई.ए), नरीमन प्वाइंट एक्सप्रेस टावर में स्थित है।
●   इसके सीईओ मधुकेश्वर देसाई है।
●   एम.सी.आई.ए एक 17 सदस्यीय संचालन परिषद द्वारा संचालित किया जाएगा।
●   मध्यस्थता केन्द्र भारत अभियान में प्रधानमंत्री के विज़न के साथ सिंक में है।
●   केंद्र सरकार इससे एक समयबद्ध और लागत प्रभावी सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने और निवेशकों का भरोसा सुदृढ़ करने में सफल हो पाएगी।
