विश्व का सबसे बड़ा क्रिकेट स्टेडियम गुजरात में बनाया जाएगा. गुजरात के मोटेरा स्थित सरदार पटेल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम का पुनर्निर्माण आरम्भ कर दिया गया है. निर्माण के बाद दर्शकों की क्षमता के हिसाब से यह विश्व का सबसे बड़ा क्रिकेट स्टेडियम बन जाएगा. नया स्टेडियम अगले दो वर्ष में बनाकर तैयार कर दिया जाएगा.
गुजरात क्रिकेट असोसिएशन (जीसीए) ने इसकी जिम्मेदारी लार्सन ऐंड टर्बो (एलऐंडटी) को सौंपी है. 08 दिसम्बर 2016 को जीसीए के उपाध्यक्ष परिमल नाथवानी ने एलऐंडटी को स्वीकृति पत्र सौंपा.
