C Vidyasagar Rao sworn in as acting Governor of Tamil Nadu

Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Maharashtra, was sworn in as the acting Governor of Tamil Nadu on 2 September 2016 as the tenure of K. Rosaiah ended on 31 August 2016.
•   Rao was administered oath of office by the Madras High Court's Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul at the Raj Bhavan, Chennai.
•   Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao is the present Governor of Maharashtra.
•   He took oath as the Governor on 30 August 2014.
•   Previously, he served as the Union Minister of State for internal affairs in the Vajpayee-led BJP Government from 1999.
•   He was elected to 12th and 13th Lok Sabha from Karimnagar in Telangana as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.

सी. विद्यासागर राव ने तमिलनाडु के कार्यवाहक राज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ ली

चेन्नामानेनी विद्यासागर राव, महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल ने, 2 सितम्बर 2016 को तमिलनाडु के कार्यवाहक राज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ ली क्योंकि रोसैया का कार्यकाल 31 अगस्त 2016 को समाप्त हो गया।
•   राव को राजभवन, चेन्नई में मद्रास उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश संजय किशन कौल ने पद एवं गोपनीयता की शपथ दिलाई।
•   चेन्नामानेनी विद्यासागर राव महाराष्ट्र के वर्तमान राज्यपाल है।
•   उन्होंने 30 अगस्त 2014 को राज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ ली ।
•   इससे पहले, वाजपेयी के नेतृत्व वाली भाजपा सरकार में 1999 में वो आन्तरिक मामलों के राज्य मंत्री रह चुके हैं ।
•   वो भारतीय जनता पार्टी के उम्मीदवार के रूप में तेलंगाना में करीमनगर से 12 वीं और 13 वीं लोकसभा के लिए चुने गए थे।
