BCCI banned Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf for 5 years (a long time) for association in 2013 I.P.L. spot-settling embarrassment.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (B.C.C.I.) on 12th February 2016 banned Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf for a long time on charges of defilement and unfortunate behavior. The disciplinary board took this choice after Rauf was discovered liable for charges in connection to the Indian Premier League (I.P.L.) wagering and spot-altering embarrassment of 2013. With this boycott, Rauf got to be ineligible for umpiring or playing or speaking to cricket in any structure or being connected with exercises of the B.C.C.I. and its subsidiaries for a long time.

Prior, on 18th January 2016, Ajit Chandila and Hiken Shah were likewise banned by the board of trustees in connection with the 2013 outrage.

While Chandila was banned forever, Hiken Shah was banned for 5 years from playing or representing cricket in any form or to be associated in any way with the activities of the Board or its affiliates.
