BCCI banned Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf for 5 years (a long time) for association in 2013 I.P.L. spot-settling embarrassment.

 The Disciplinary Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (B.C.C.I.) on 12^th February 2016 banned Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf for a long time on charges of defilement and unfortunate behavior. The disciplinary board took this choice after Rauf was discovered liable for charges in connection to the Indian Premier League (I.P.L.) wagering and spot-altering embarrassment of 2013.
