Amit Shah re-elected unopposed AS BJP President

Amit Shah was elected unopposed president of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday for a second term, this time for a full tenure of three years. Mr. Shah had earlier completed  Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s interrupted tenure as president from July 2014. Shah had  taken over as the party chief during midway of Rajnath Singh’s term after Singh joined  the government as the Home Minister in May 2014.
