Abu Dhabi Crown Prince to be invited for R-Day
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day celebrations on 26 January 2017. The Crown Prince has accepted the Indian invitation.
● His visit will give a strong boost to the bilateral ties between the two nations in key areas like trade and security.
● This is his second visit to India, earlier he came on a three-day-visit in February 2016.
● This acceptance of the invitation by Sheikh Al Nahyan, who is also the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces, sends out an important message at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan are escalating.
● This can be treated as the masterstroke of the government, which is trying to isolate diplomatically over the issue of cross-border terrorism.
● UAE is one of the closest allies of Pakistan and once the two nations along with Saudi Arabia recognised the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
आबु धाबी के क्राउन प्रिंस शेख मोहम्मद बिन ज़ायेद अल नहयान 26 जनवरी 2017 को गणतंत्र दिवस के मुख्य अतिथि होंगे. क्राउन प्रिंस ने भारत की ओर से भेजा गया निमंत्रण स्वीकार कर लिया.
● उनके आने से दोनों देशों के मध्य द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को प्रगाढ़ता प्राप्त होगी तथा दोनों देश व्यापर एवं सुरक्षा के मुद्दों पर बेहतर तालमेल स्थापित कर सकेंगे. यह उनकी दूसरी भारत यात्रा होगी इससे पहले वे फरवरी 2016 में भी तीन दिवसीय भारत यात्रा पर आये थे.
● शेख अल नहयान द्वारा यह निमंत्रण स्वीकार किये जाने से भारत एवं पाकिस्तान के मध्य चल रहे विवाद के दौरान विश्व को एक मजबूत सन्देश जायेगा. शेख अल नहयान यूएई के सैन्य बलों के डिप्टी सुप्रीम कमांडर हैं.
● शेख अल नहयान को मुख्य अतिथि बनाना मोदी सरकार की कूटनीति की सफलता को भी दर्शाता है तथा आतंकवाद के खिलाफ भारत की प्रतिबद्धता को भी दर्शाता है.
● यूएई पाकिस्तान का मित्र देश माना जाता है तथा एक समय पर यूएई तथा पाकिस्तान द्वारा अफगानिस्तान में तालिबान सरकार को मान्यता प्रदान की गयी थी.
