7th World Ayurveda Congress to be held in Kolkata from 2nd-4th December
The 7th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) will be held from 2nd – 4th December, 2016 at Science City, Kolkata. The mega event is being organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation with support of Ministry of AYUSH, and the State Government of West Bengal. To facilitate development and growth of AYUSH system of medicine, the Ministry of AYUSH is also organizing AROGYA Expo from 1st-4th December, 2016 at Science City, Kolkata to coincide with the 7th World Ayurveda Congress. The Minister of State (IC) for AYUSH, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik would be inaugurating the Arogya Expo tomorrow.
● The focus of this 7th World Ayurveda Congress is – ‘Strengthening the Ayurveda Ecosystem’ and the congregation will bring together stakeholders in the Ayurveda sector from India and abroad.
● There are three major components of the program this year (1) Public Outreach session which comprises of the Ayurveda Expo, the Ayurveda Clinics for the general public and Public Lectures. (2) Influencing Policy and (3) Promoting Science. The 7th WAC will hold 5 plenary sessions, 25 parallel sessions and a large number of paper presentations, complemented by a series of associated events.
● This year’s World Ayurveda Congress will be the largest ever as compared to the earlier World Ayurveda Congress at Kochi 2002, Pune 2006, Jaipur 2008, Bengaluru 2010, Bhopal 2012 and Delhi 2014. Over 3500 delegates, including over 350 international delegates from 24 countries representing the Global Ayurveda fraternity are expected to participate. Other participants would be Students, Ayurvedic practitioners, traditional healers, academics, research scientists, policy makers, industry, cultivators and collectors of medicinal plants, agricultural and forestry experts, buyers from overseas, regulators from developed nations and members of society in and around Kolkata interested in Ayurveda.
● More than 1893 scientific papers of international caliber are being considered for presentation in over 30 multi-track scientific sessions.
सातवीं विश्व आयुर्वेद कांग्रेस (डब्ल्यूएसी) कोलकाता स्थित साइंस सिटी में 02-04 दिसम्बर, 2016 को आयोजित की जाएगी। इस मेगा कार्यक्रम का आयोजन विश्व आयुर्वेद फाउंडेशन द्वारा आयुष मंत्रालय और पश्चिम बंगाल की राज्य सरकार के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है। दवाओं की आयुष प्रणाली के विकास में सहूलियत के लिए आयुष मंत्रालय कोलकाता स्थित साइंस सिटी में 01-04 दिसम्बर, 2016 को ‘आरोग्य एक्सपो’ का भी आयोजन करने जा रहा है। आयुष राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री श्रीपद येसो नाईक कल आरोग्य एक्सपो का उद्घाटन करेंगे।
● सातवीं विश्व आयुर्वेद कांग्रेस का फोकस ‘आयुर्वेद पारिस्थितिकी को सुदृढ़ करने’ पर होगा और इस आयोजन से देश-विदेश के आयुर्वेद क्षेत्र के हितधारकों को एकजुट करने में मदद मिलेगी।
● इस साल कार्यक्रम के ये तीन प्रमुख अवयव हैं (1) आम जनता तक पहुंच सुनिश्चित करने वाला सत्र, जिसमें आयुर्वेद एक्सपो, आम जनता के लिए आयुर्वेद क्लिनिक और सार्वजनिक व्याख्यान शामिल हैं, (2) नीति को प्रभावित करना और (3) विज्ञान को बढ़ावा देना।
● सातवीं विश्व आयुर्वेद कांग्रेस में पांच पूर्ण सत्र और 25 समानांतर सत्र आयोजित किये जाएंगे और इस दौरान बड़ी संख्या में दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत किए जाएंगे तथा इसके साथ ही अनेक संबंधित कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किये जाएंगे।
● वर्ष 2002 में कोच्चि, वर्ष 2006 में पुणे, वर्ष 2008 में जयपुर, वर्ष 2010 में बेंगलुरू, वर्ष 2012 में भोपाल और वर्ष 2014 में दिल्ली में आयोजित की गई पूर्ववर्ती विश्व आयुर्वेद कांग्रेस की तुलना में इस साल आयोजित की जा रही विश्व आयुर्वेद कांग्रेस सबसे बड़ी साबित होगी। इस कांग्रेस में 3500 से भी ज्यादा प्रतिनिधियों के भाग लेने की आशा है, जिसमें विश्व आयुर्वेद बिरादरी का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले 24 देशों के 350 से भी ज्यादा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतिनिधि शामिल हैं। इसके अन्य प्रतिभागियों में विद्यार्थी, आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सक, परम्परागत आरोग्य साधक, शिक्षाविद्, शोध वैज्ञानिक, नीति निर्माता, उद्योग जगत के प्रतिनिधि, किसान, औषधीय पौधों के संग्रहक, कृषि एवं वानिकी विशेषज्ञ, विदेशी खरीदार, विकसित देशों के नियामक और कोलकाता के आसपास अवस्थित ऐसी सोसायटी के सदस्य शामिल हैं, जो आयुर्वेद में दिलचस्पी रखती हैं।
● इस दौरान आयोजित किए जाने वाले 30 से भी अधिक वैज्ञानिक सत्रों में अंतरराष्ट्रीय बौद्धिक स्तर के 1893 से भी अधिक वैज्ञानिक दस्तावेजों को पेश करने पर विचार किया जा रहा है।
