1400 New Firms: India Retains its Start-up Hub tag
Despite a funding slowdown this year compared to last year’s bonanza, as many as 1,400 startups have come up in the country this year.
● It has allowed India to maintain its position as the third largest startup base in the world with over 4,750 tech startups.
● It is ahead of countries such as China and Israel in the startup report released at the Nasscom Product Council revealed.
● Even the number of startups that have been funded this year has increased by 8%, though the overall funding has come down by 20-30%.
● One of the reasons for the funding to have come down could be that investors are funding in tranches based on milestones.
● But it’s a very positive sign that more startups are getting funded," said Ravi Gururaj, chairman, Nasscom Product Council.
देश में स्टार्टअप को बढ़ावा देने के लिए किए गए उपायों के बल पर भारत इस मामले में दुनिया में तीसरे पायदान पर पहुंच गया है।
वित्त पोषण मंदी के बावजूद इस साल पिछले साल के बोनांजा की तुलना में 1,400 स्टार्ट-अप इस साल देश में आए हैं।
● भारत 4750 तकनीक स्टार्ट-अप के साथ दुनिया में तीसरा सबसे बड़ा स्टार्टअप आधार के रूप में अपनी स्थिति बनाए हुए है।
● स्टार्टअप के अनुकूल माहौल का इसी बात से पता चलता है कि लगभग चार अरब डॉलर के फंड से यहां लगभग 650 स्टार्टअप शुरू हुए हैं।
● यह रिपोर्ट नासकॉम के एक कार्यक्रम के इतर जारी की गई। इस मौके पर नासकॉम अध्यक्ष सी पी गुरनामी और प्रेसीडेंट आर चंद्रशेखर भी मौजूद थे।
● रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक इस साल पिछले साल की तुलना में आठ से दस प्रतिशत अधिक 1400 नए स्टार्टअप बनने का अनुमान है।
● इस साल 80 से अधिक विलय और अधिग्रहण का अनुमान है, जिनमें से 60 से अधिक सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हो चुके हैं।
● स्टार्ट-अप की संख्या में 8% की वृद्धि हुई है, हालांकि कुल मिलाकर वित्त पोषण के 20-30% से नीचे आ गया है।
