11th February as International Day Women and Girls in Science by the United Nations General Assembly.
Reason: To highlight female accomplishment, level with access and interest in the science field.
On December 22nd 2015, the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly received an earth shattering determination to set up a yearly International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Theme : Transforming the World: Parity in Science.
