INTERNATIONAL:
India attacks UNSC for Progressively Undermining UN General Assembly in finding solutions for global challenges.
• India and UN General Assembly must take lead in finding solutions to the challenges faced by the world, slamming the Security Council for "progressively undermining" the authority of the 193-member global body. India's deputy permanent representative K Nagaraj Naidu said on Monday the growing number of complex challenges facing the world, like those related to peace and security, climate change and sustainable development that cut across boundaries and regions can be addressed only through a genuine multilateral and participative process.
• The prerogatives and authority of the General Assembly have been progressively undermined by the Security Council through its frequent attempts to redefine its scope of competence through wider and permissive interpretations of what constitutes a threat to international peace and security and by engaging in discussions on issues that clearly fall within the purview of the General Assembly.
Cyclothon held on the occasion of World Sparrow Day.
• A colourful cyclothon was organised in Berhampur on the occasion of World Sparrow Day, March 20th, to mark the progress of making Ganjam the first sparrow-friendly district of Odisha. The event aimed at spreading awareness about the rising number of vehicles causing air pollution, which, in turn, affects the avian population.
• A large number of cyclists donning sparrow masks along with a sparrow mascot took part in this cycle rally organised by youth environmental organisation Anchalika Vikash Parishad (AVP) and the Forest Department.
Nirav Modi was denied bail in London.
• ndian businessman Nirav Modi who was accused in the Rs.13,000 crore Punjab National Bank fraud case was denied bail in London, despite offering the court assurances including £500,000 as security. Mr.Modi is now due to appear before Emma Arbuthnot, the Chief Magistrate of Westminster Magistrates Court, who ordered Vijay Mallya’s extradition on March 29. The hearing before District Judge Marie Mallon took place a day after Mr. Modi was arrested at a bank branch in London by the Metropolitan Police.
SAIL launched Smart Garbage Bins.
• Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has launched smart garbage bins made of stainless steel which integrates technology for smart waste management. Smart Garbage Bins The IOT (Internet of Things) enabled Gazelle sensors Smart Garbage Bins will send signals to the garbage collection vehicle about the 'fill-up' position of the bin. This provides for better cleaning and lower human intervention.
• These Smart Garbage Bins made up of SAIL SALEM stainless steel will be installed in underground Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) pits at the Smart Garbage Station. This will help prevent the spread of stink and diseases. There will be separate bins for recyclable and non-recyclable wastes. Initially, these Smart Garbage Bins will be placed at one each at Kamala Nagar in North and BhikajiCama Place in South Delhi.
Kazakhstan renames capital Astana as 'Nursultan' after ex-President.
• Kazakhstan's Parliament has voted to rename the country's capital Astana as 'Nursultan', in honour of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Kazakhstan's new President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had proposed the move to rename the capital in honour of Nazarbayev, who announced his resignation on March 19 after 30 years in power. Nazarbayev's daughter, Dariga, was elected speaker of the Senate.
Google unveiled video game streaming service Stadia.
• Google unveiled its on-demand video-game streaming service Stadia, built for Chrome, Android and TVs, at the 2019 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California. Stadia's 'Crowd Play' feature will let people, watching a YouTube live stream, to actually join the streamer's game. The service will initially be launched this year in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe.
Italy to join China's Belt and Road Initiative.
• Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte pledged to make Italy the first Group of Seven nation to join China's ambitious Belt and Road initiative (BRI). This move will help rebalance Italy's trade with the Asian nation. Four Italian ports could reportedly be opened to Chinese investments for BRI. The US has warned Italy against joining the Chinese initiative.

South Indian Bank to issue Basel III compliant bonds.
• South Indian Bank plans to raise up to Rs.250 crore by issuing Basel III compliant bonds. The Committee approved the information memorandum for issuance of rated, unsecured, redeemable, non-convertible, Basel III compliant, lower tier 2 bonds up to Rs.150 crore with an option to retain an over-subscription aggregating up to Rs.100 crore, aggregating to total issue size of Rs.250 crore.
Vodafone Idea approves terms for Rs. 25,000 Crore worth Rights Issue at 60 percent discount.
• India's largest telecom firm Vodafone Idea announced its board has approved ₹25,000 crore rights issue at a discount of around 60% to the current share prices. Vodafone Group and the Aditya Birla Group would contribute ₹11,000 crore and ₹7,250 crore, respectively. The issue will increase the number of Vodafone Idea shares by 229%. Vodafone Idea stock fell as much as 7.6 per cent to Rs. 29.60, its steepest intraday fall in almost two months.

• Mizoram Assembly passed a new bill named Mizoram Maintenance of Household Registers Bill, 2019 with an objective to detect foreigners illegally residing in Mizoram,who takes away the benefits of the citizen of Mizoram. As per the Bill, the Assembly will create the 2 registers namely one for the citizen residents and another for non-citizen residents of a village/area/town. This register comprises the name, details and passport size photographs of every individual in the state.
NATIONAL:
Social Media platforms to prevent violation of Code of Ethics during polls.
• Social Media platforms and internet mobile Association of India (IAMAI) have adopted a Voluntary Code of Ethics for the forthcoming general elections. According to the code submitted to the election Committee, IAMAI and Social Media platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Google, will create a high priority dedicated reporting mechanism and appoint dedicated teams during the polls for taking expeditious action on any reported violations
• No political campaign will be allowed to run on major social media platforms in the last 48 hours before polling ends. It has also been agreed to provide a mechanism for political advertisers to submit pre-certified advertisements issued by the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee.
• The code also promises to facilitate transparency in paid political advertisements. The social media companies will take action on content reported by the nodal officer, expeditiously, in accordance with the law. IAMAI will act as the liaison between social media firms and the poll panel. Our correspondent reports that the code, which comes into operation with immediate effect, has been developed to ensure free, fair and ethical use of social media platforms to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
Shark-faced plane lands at Delhi airport for the first time.
• A shark-themed plane, an Embraer E190-E2 commercial jet, landed at the Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport for the first time. Last year, the shark-themed aircraft landed at Lhasa's Gonggar Airport (Tibet), one of the world's highest airports at 11,713 feet. E190-E2 is manufactured by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.
IND INDO CORPAT 2019 was inaugurated at Port Blair.
• The 33rd edition of India-Indonesia coordinated patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) was inaugurated at Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The IND-INDO CORPAT 2019 is held from 19 Mar to 04Apr 2019. Navies of both countries have been carrying out coordinated patrolling twice a year since 2002 in an effort to keep the Indian Ocean region (IOR) safe and secure for commercial shipping and international trade. It also enhances mutual understanding and interoperability between the two navies.
• IND-INDO CORPAT 2019 From the Indonesian Side Naval Ship, KRI Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin and Maritime Patrol Aircraft CN-235 are taking part. Commodore Ashutosh Ridhorkar, Naval Component Commander, Andaman and Nicobar Command is leading the Indian side. During the exercise ships and aircraft from both the countries would undertake the patrolling on the respective sides of 236 nautical miles long International Maritime Boundary line.
SpiceJet becomes first Indian low-cost airline to join IATA as a member.
• Budget carrier SpiceJet has joined global airlines' grouping International Air Transport Association (IATA), becoming the first Indian low-cost carrier to get the membership. The membership would help SpiceJet, which has ambitious expansion plans, to have codeshares and agreements with other carriers. IATA has over 290 airlines as members. Other Indian members of the IATA include Air India, Jet Airways and Vistara.
Indian-Omani group signs USD 3.8 billion deal to build Sri Lanka refinery.
• India's Accord Group and Oman's oil ministry have signed a $3.85 billion deal to build an oil refinery in Sri Lanka. This is the biggest single pledge of FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) ever made in the country. The project will be located near the southern Sri Lankan port of Hambantota, which was handed over on a 99-year lease to a state-owned Chinese company. Privately-owned Accord Group will control 70 per cent of the joint venture and the Sultanate of Oman's Ministry of Oil and Gas the rest. The refinery is expected to produce 9 million metric tonnes of refined products a year for export from the Hambantota port, which serves the busiest East-West shipping route.
India ranked 140th in the happiest country in the world 2019 list.
• Finland has been ranked as the happiest country in the world 2019 for the second year in succession. The report was released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations on March 20. India secured 140th place, seven spots down from last year, on UN World Happiness Report- 2019. Indians are not as happy in 2019 as they were in 2018 and the country figures at 140th place, seven spots down from last year, on UN World Happiness Report- 2019
• The UN’s seventh annual World Happiness Report, which ranks the world’s 156 countries on “how happy their citizens perceive themselves to be”, also noted that there has been an increase in negative emotions, including worry, sadness, and anger. Pakistan is ranked 67th, Bangladesh 125th and China is placed at 93rd position, according to the report. People in war-torn South Sudan are the most unhappy, ranked 156th, with their lives.
Mumbai social worker Gauri Sawant designated as first transgender election ambassador
• A 38-year-old transgender activist Shree Gauri Sawant from Mumbai appointed as first transgender election ambassador by The Election Commission of India. There was no separate classification of transgenders as voters till 2014 but after that transgenders were first enrolled as voters along with males and females. Tokyo 2020 Olympics torch unveiled.
• Tokyo 2020 Olympics unveiled a cherry-blossom shaped torch for the Games as the city prepares for the famed flower season to begin in coming days. The top part of the torch is shaped in the traditional emblem of the sakura, or cherry blossom using the same cutting-edge technology as in the production of Japan's bullet trains, the organisers said.
• The shiny rose-gold torch, which is 71 centimetres (28 inches) long and weighs 1.2 kilograms (2 pounds 10 ounces), uses aluminium construction waste from temporary housing built for victims of the 2011 quake and tsunami. Fukushima was chosen as the starting point for the Olympic torch relay. Japan has dubbed the 2020 Games the "Reconstruction Olympics" and wants to showcase recovery in regions devastated by the disaster.
India bags over 350 medals at Special Olympics World Games.
• India got more over than 350 medals at the Special Olympics World Games 2019 at Abu Dhabi in UAE, making the history for the country. The current medal tally stands at 85 Gold, 153 Silver and 124 Bronze totalling 362 medals. Some of the biggest names in world music will perform at the spectacular Closing Ceremony at Zayed Sports City.

भारत ने संरा महासभा के अधिकार की अनदेखी करने के लिए सुरक्षा परिषद की आलोचना की
• संयुक्त राष्ट्र, 20 मार्च (भाषा) भारत ने कहा है कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा को दुनिया के सामने मौजूद चुनौतियों का समाधान खोजने में पहल करनी चाहिए। इसके साथ ही भारत ने 193-सदस्यीय वैश्विक निकाय के अधिकार को ‘‘उत्तरोत्तर कमजोर’’ करने के लिए सुरक्षा परिषद की आलोचना की। भारत के उप स्थायी प्रतिनिधि के नागराज नायडू ने सोमवार को कहा कि दुनिया के सामने शांति और सुरक्षा, जलवायु परिवर्तन और सतत विकास से संबंधित कई जटिल चुनौतियां हैं जो विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से जुड़ी हैं। उनका वास्तविक बहुपक्षीय और भागीदारी प्रक्रिया के जरिए ही समाधान किया जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि महासभा को वैश्विक एजेंडा तय करने और संयुक्त राष्ट्र की केंद्रीयता बहाल करने के लिए बहुपक्षीय दृष्टिकोण तैयार करने में प्रमुख भूमिका निभानी चाहिए।नायडू ने कहा कि पुनर्जीवन प्रक्रिया को विकास के मामलों में संयुक्त राष्ट्र की प्रधानता को बहाल करना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘सुरषा परिषद ने महासभा के विशेषाधिकारों और अधिकार को सुरक्षा परिषद ने उत्तरोत्तर रूप से कमजोर किया है, जो अंतरराष्ट्रीय शांति और सुरक्षा के लिए खतरा पैदा करता है।उन्होंने एक बयान में कहा, ‘‘इस स्थिति के लिए दोष कुछ हद तक महासभा और उसके सदस्य राष्ट्रों पर भी मढ़ा जाना चाहिए जो मूल मुद्दों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के स्थान पर प्रक्रियाओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं।
विश्व गौरैया दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित साइक्लोथॉन।
• घर हमारे बड़े-बड़े हो गए हैं, पर दिल इतने छोटे कि उनमें नन्हीं-सी गौरैया भी नहीं आ पा रही. घर-घर की चिड़िया गौरैया आज अपने अस्तित्व के लिए संघर्ष कर रही है. यूरोप में गौरैया संरक्षण-चिंता के विषय वाली प्रजाति बन चुकी है और ब्रिटेन में यह रेड लिस्ट में शामिल हो चुकी है. भारत में भी पक्षी वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार पिछले कुछ सालों में गौरैया की संख्या में उल्लेखनीय गिरावट आई है. लगातार घटती इसकी संख्या को अगर हमने गंभीरता से नहीं लिया, तो वह दिन दूर नहीं, जब गौरैया हमेशा के लिए हमसे दूर चली जाएगी।
• भारत के बहुत-से हिस्सों जैसे बैंगलुरु, मुंबई, हैदराबाद, पंजाब, हरियाणा, पश्चिम बंगाल, दिल्ली, उत्तर प्रदेश, राजस्थान और दूसरे शहरों में गौरैया की स्थिति बहुत चिंताजनक है. यहां वे दिखाई देना मानो बंद-सी हो गई हैं. इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ एग्रीकल्चरल रिसर्च के एक सर्वेक्षण में पाया गया कि इनकी संख्या आंध्र प्रदेश में 80 फीसदी तक कम हुई है और केरल, गुजरात और राजस्थान जैसे राज्यों में इसमें 20 फीसदी तक की कमी देखी गई है. इसके अलावा तटीय क्षेत्रों में यह गिरावट निश्चित रूप से 70 से 80 प्रतिशत तक दर्ज की गई है।
नीरव मोदी लंदन में हुआ गिरफ्तार, अदालत ने 29 मार्च तक हिरासत में
• पंजाब नेशलन बैंक (पीएनबी) के साथ 2 अरब डॉलर (लगभग 13,000 करोड़ रुपए) के कर्ज की धोखाधड़ी मामले में भगोड़े आर्थिक अपराधी नीरव मोदी को बुधवार को लंदन पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर एक स्थानीय अदालत में पेश किया। लंदन की इस निचली अदालत ने नीरव की जमानत की अर्जी खारिज करते हुए उसे 29 मार्च तक हिरासत में भेज दिया है।
अदालत के न्यायाधीश ने कहा कि इस बात का पर्याप्त आधार है कि यदि अभियुक्त को जमानत पर छोड़ा गया तो वह बाद में आत्मसमर्पण के लिए पेश नहीं होगा। इस घटनाक्रम को नीरव मोदी को पूछताछ के लिए भारत लाने और इसमें शामिल सभी अभियुक्तों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई करने की भारतीय जांच एजेंसियों के प्रयास में एक बड़ी सफलता माना जा रहा है।
• प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के एक मामले में नीरव मोदी के प्रत्यर्पण के लिए लंदन की एक अदालत में अपील की थी। अदालत ने अपील पर सुनवाई करते हुए मंगलवार को नीरव मोदी के खिलाफ गिरफ्तारी का वारंट जारी किया था।
सेल ने उतारा स्टेनलेस स्टील का कूड़ादान, जमीन के अंदर होगा स्थापित, भरने पर भेजेगा संकेत
• देश की सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की सबसे बड़ी इस्पात उत्पादक कंपनी स्टील अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड (सेल) ने देश को स्वच्छ और सुंदर बनाने की दिशा में अनूठी पहल की है। इस पहल के तहत सेल ने स्टेनलेस स्टील से बने कूड़ादान उतारे हैं। भरने पर ये कूड़ेदान खुद-ब-खुद कूड़ा उठाने वाली गाड़ी को संकेत भेज देगा।
• सेल के इस कूड़ेदान से बने स्मार्ट गार्बेज स्टेशन की शुरुआत देश की राजधानी दिल्ली के भीकाजी कामा प्लेस से होने जा रही है जिसका विकास दक्षिण दिल्ली नगर निगम (एसडीएमसी) द्वारा किया जा रहा है।
• इस 'स्मार्ट गार्बेज स्टेशन' में सेल के सेलम स्टेनलेस स्टील से बने पर्यावरण अनुकूल कूड़ेदान रखे जाएंगे जिन्हें जमीन के अंदर रखा जाएगा, जो शहरों को कूड़े-कचरे के बेलगाम जमाव से न केवल छुटकारा दिलाएंगे बल्कि दुर्गंध और बीमारियों से भी लोगों का बचाव करेंगे।
कजाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति ने की इस्तीफे की घोषणा
• कजाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति नूरसुल्तान नजरबायेव ने मंगलवार को अपने इस्तीफे की घोषणा कर दी है। वह पिछले 30 साल से देश की सत्ता में थे। सोवियत संघ के विघटन के बाद मध्य एशिया के इस देश में नजरबायेव ने इतने लंबे समय तक शासन किया।
• नजरबायेव के कद का अंदाजा इसी बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि तेल संपन्न इस देश की राजधानी अस्ताना में हवाई अड्डे का नाम साल 2017 में बदलकर उन्हीं के नाम पर रख दिया गया था। नजरबायेव के नेतृत्व में ही कजाकिस्तान ने खुद को एक आर्थिक लीडर के रूप में पेश किया था, लेकिन विरोधियों की आवाज दबाने और लोकतांत्रिक सुधारों का प्रतिरोध करने के लिए भी वह जाने जाते रहे हैं।
• उनकी यह घोषणा देश के अगले राष्ट्रपति चुनाव से एक साल पहले हुई है। देश में गिरते जीवनस्तर को लेकर लोगों में बढ़ रहे गुस्से के बीच नजरबायेव ने पद छोड़ने का एलान किया है। राष्ट्र के नाम संबोधन में नजरबायेव ने कहा कि उन्होंने पद से इस्तीफा देने का निर्णय लिया है और कजाख सीनेट के अध्यक्ष जिम्मेदारी संभालेंगे। यह पद अभी नजरबायेव के करीबी माने जाने वाले कासीम-जोमात तोकायेव के पास है। वह पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री हैं।
गूगल ने लॉन्च किया Stadia, बिना डाउनलोड किए खेल सकेंगे वीडियो गेम
• गूगल ने अपने डेवलपर्स कॉन्फ्रेंस 2019 में गेम स्ट्रीमिंग सर्विस Stadia लॉन्च कर दिया है। गूगल का स्टेडिया स्मार्टफोन, टैबलेट, टीवी, लैपटॉप और कंप्यूटर पर काम करेगा। साथ ही इसमें यूट्यूब का भी सपोर्ट मिलेगा। साथ ही में डेवलपर्स के पास इस बात का विकल्प होगा कि वे इसमें प्ले बटन जोड़ सकेंगे ताकि यूजर्स यूट्यूब पर वीडियो गेम सीधे तौर पर खेल सकें।
इटली बन सकता है चीन की 'बेल्ट ऐंड रोड' पहल का हिस्सा
• लगातार हो रही आलोचनाओं के बावजूद चीन की 'बेल्ट ऐंड रोड' पहल (BRI) का समर्थन करने वाले देशों की संख्या बढ़ती जा रही है। इस कड़ी में नया नाम इटली का है। इटली के प्रधानमंत्री गियूसेपे कोंटे ने इस संबंध में एक सहमति ज्ञापन पत्र (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर करने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई है।
बैंक और अर्थव्यवस्था:
भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने बासेल-3 बांड से जुटाए 1,251 करोड़ रुपये
• देश के सबसे बड़े बैंक भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) ने बासेल-3 समर्थित बांड जारी कर 1,251.30 करोड़ रुपये की राशि जुटायी है। बैंक ने शुक्रवार को शेयर बाजारों को यह जानकारी दी। सूचना के मुताबिक पूंजी जुटाने पर फैसले लेने वाली निदेशकों की समिति ने 22 मार्च, 2019 को अपनी बैठक में 12,513 गैर-परिवर्तनीय, कर योग्य, असंरक्षित बासेल-3 समर्थित बांड जारी करने की अनुमति दे दी है। इन बांड का कुल मूल्य 1,251.30 करोड़ रुपये है।प्रत्येक बांड का अंकित मूल्य 10 लाख रुपये होगा। इस पर 9.45 प्रतिशत वार्षिक का ब्याज दिया जाएगा। इसे पांच साल के बाद भुनाया जा सकेगा।
वोडाफोन आइडिया के निदेशक मंडल ने 25,000 करोड़ के राइट इश्यू के लिए 12.50 रुपए/शेयर की दर की तय
• देश की सबसे बड़ी दूरसंचार कंपनी वोडाफोन आइडिया के निदेशक मंडल ने 12.50 रुपए प्रति शेयर की दर से 25 हजार करोड़ रुपए के प्रस्तावित राइट इश्यू को बुधवार को मंजूरी दे दी। राइट इश्यू के लिए शेयर मूल्य बाजार दर से 61 प्रतिशत कम पर तय किया गया है।
• कंपनी ने शेयर बाजार को भेजी सूचना में कहा कि कंपनी के पात्र शेयरधारकों को प्रत्येक 38 इक्विटी शेयरों के लिए 87 इक्विटी शेयर दिए जाएंगे। इसके लिए रिकॉर्ड तिथि दो अप्रैल 2019 तय की गई है। कंपनी ने कहा कि इश्यू 10 अप्रैल को खुलेगा और 24 अप्रैल को बंद होगा।
अवैध विदेशियों की पहचान के लिए मिजोरम विधानसभा ने पारित किया विधेयक
• मिजोरम विधानसभा ने राज्य में अवैध रूप से रह रहे लोगों का पता लगाने के लिये सर्वसम्मति से एक विधेयक पारित किया है। ‘मिजोरम मेंटिनेंस ऑफ हाउसहोल्ड रजिस्टर्स बिल’, 2019 पेश करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री जोरामथंगा ने कहा कि राज्य में कहीं खुली कहीं बंद सीमा से विदेशियों की आमद कई दशकों से गंभीर चिंता का विषय बनी हुई है। राज्य की 700 किलोमीटर से ज्यादा की सीमा बांग्लादेश और म्यामार से लगती है। विधेयक में प्रस्तावित प्रावधान विश्वसनीय व्यक्तिगत पहचान प्रणाली और गैर- अर्हता वाले लोगों को विकास योजनाओं के फायदों को 'हड़पने' से रोकने पर केंद्रित हैं।

EC के साथ बैठक में बना प्लान, आज से सोशल मीडिया पर भी आचार संहिता लागू
• लोकसभा चुनाव में राजनीतिक दलों समेत तमाम संगठनों की ओर से सोशल मीडिया के दुरुपयोग को रोकने के लिए चुनाव आयोग ने सोशल मीडिया कंपनियों की अहम बैठक बुलाई थी. जिसमें कंपनियों ने चुनाव के दौरान खुद के सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू करने का भरोसा दिया है. आज से यह आचार संहिता लागू हो गई है।
• फेसबुक और ट्विटर समेत अन्य सोशल मीडिया, मोबाइल और इंटरनेट कंपनियों के प्रतिनिधियों ने मंगलवार को मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त सुनील अरोड़ा की अध्यक्षता में हुई बैठक में बुधवार शाम से ही अपने ऊपर 'आचार संहिता' लागू करने का भरोसा दिलाया है. इससे आयोग की ओर से स्वतंत्र, निष्पक्ष एवं शांतिपूर्ण मतदान के लिए राजनीतिक दलों पर लागू होने वाली चुनाव आचार संहिता का पालन सुनिश्चित हो सकेगा।
पहली बार दिल्ली हवाई अड्डे पर शार्क का सामना करना पड़ा।
• एक शार्क-थीम वाला विमान, एक एम्ब्रेयर E190-E2 वाणिज्यिक जेट, पहली बार दिल्ली के इंदिरा गांधी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर उतरा। पिछले साल, शार्क-थीम वाला विमान ल्हासा के गोंगगर हवाई अड्डे (तिब्बत) में उतरा, जो दुनिया के सबसे ऊंचे हवाई अड्डों में से एक 11,713 फीट है। E190-E2 ब्राजील के विमान निर्माता एम्ब्रेयर द्वारा निर्मित है।
IND INDO CORPAT 2019 का उद्घाटन पोर्ट ब्लेयर में किया गया।
• भारत-इंडोनेशिया समन्वित गश्ती (IND-INDO CORPAT) के 33 वें संस्करण का उद्घाटन पोर्ट ब्लेयर, अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में किया गया। IND-INDO CORPAT 2019 19 Mar से 04Apr 2019 तक आयोजित किया जायेगा। दोनों देशों के नौसैनिक 2002 के बाद से वर्ष में दो बार समन्वित गश्त कर रहे हैं, जो हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र (IOR) को वाणिज्यिक शिपिंग और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय के लिए सुरक्षित रखने के प्रयास में है। यह दोनों नौसेनाओं के बीच आपसी समझ और अंतर-क्षमता को भी बढ़ाता है।
स्पाइसजेट IATA में शामिल होने वाली पहली भारतीय कम लागत वाली एयरलाइन बनी
• बजट वाहक स्पाइसजेट वैश्विक एयरलाइनों की ग्रुपिंग इंटरनेशनल एयर ट्रांसपोर्ट एसोसिएशन (IATA) में शामिल हो गई है, जो सदस्यता पाने वाली पहली भारतीय कम लागत वाली वाहक बन गई है। सदस्यता स्पाइसजेट की मदद करेगी, जिसमें महत्वाकांक्षी विस्तार की योजना है, जिसमें अन्य वाहकों के साथ कोडशेयर और समझौते होंगे। IATA के सदस्यों के रूप में 290 से अधिक एयरलाइंस हैं। IATA के अन्य भारतीय सदस्यों में एयर इंडिया, जेट एयरवेज और विस्तार शामिल हैं।
चीन ने कहा श्रीलंका में भारत के निवेश को लेकर वह परेशान नहीं
• चीन ने बृहस्पतिवार को कहा कि श्रीलंका में भारत के बड़े निवेश को लेकर वह परेशान नहीं है और वह इतनी संकीर्ण सोच नहीं रखता है कि इसका विरोध करे. उल्लेखनीय है कि भारत के ऑकार्ड समूह और ओमान के तेल मंत्रालय ने मिलकर एक संयुक्त उद्यम के जरिये 3.85 अरब डालर के निवेश से श्रीलंका में रिफाइनरी लगाने की घोषणा की है. यहां स्थानीय मीडिया में श्रीलंका के विकास रणनीति और अंतरराष्ट्रीय व्यापार मंत्रालय के उप-मंत्री नलिन बांदरा के हवाले से कहा गया है कि ओमान के तेल मंत्रालय और भारत के ऑकार्ड समूह के स्वामित्व वाले सिंगापुर स्थित निवेश निकाय ने एक तेल रिफाइनरी लगाने पर सहमति जताई है. इसे श्रीलंका में अब तक का सबसे बड़ा विदेशी निवेश बताया जा रहा है।
दुनिया के खुशहाल देशों भारत सात पायदान फिसला, 140 वें स्थान पर आया
• संयुक्त राष्ट्र विश्व खुशहाली रिपोर्ट में इस साल भारत का स्थान खिसक कर 140 वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया जो पिछले साल के मुकाबले सात पायदान नीचे है. जबकि फिनलैंड लगातार दूसरे साल भी इस मामले में शीर्ष पर रहा. खास बात ये है कि खुशहाल देशों की रैंकिंग में भारत, पड़ोसी देश पाकिस्तान से भी पिछड़ गया है।
संयुक्त राष्ट्र सतत विकास समाधान नेटवर्क ने बुधवार को यह रिपोर्ट जारी की. संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 2012 में 20 मार्च को विश्व खुशहाली दिवस घोषित किया था. संयुक्त राष्ट्र की ये सूची 6 कारकों पर तय की जाती है. इसमें आय, स्वस्थ जीवन प्रत्याशा, सामाजिक सपोर्ट, आजादी, विश्वास और उदारता शामिल हैं।
गौरी सावंत बनी पहली ट्रांसजेंडर चुनाव राजदूत
• भारत निर्वाचन आयोग ने ट्रांसजेंडर सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता गौरी सावंत को महाराष्ट्र के 12 चुनावी राजदूतों में से एक के रूप में नियुक्त किया है. चुनाव आयोग के अनुसार, गौरी सावंत की नियुक्ति से इस वर्ग के अधिक लोगों को मतदाता नामांकन के अंतिम चरण के दौरान पंजीकृत होने में मदद मिलेगी। इसमें कहा गया है कि अगले कुछ दिनों में गौरी सावंत हर ट्रांसजेंडर से मिलेंगी और उन्हें मतदान की आवश्यकता के बारे में प्रेरित करेंगी।

टोक्यो 2020 ओलंपिक मशाल का अनावरण
• टोक्यो 2020 ओलंपिक के आयोजकों ने बुधवार को खेलों के लिए एक चेरी-ब्लॉसम आकार की मशाल का अनावरण किया। यह अनावरण ऐसे समय किया गया है जब शहर आने वाले दिनों में फूलों के मौसम के की तैयारी में लगा है।
• आयोजकों ने कहा कि मशाल का ऊपरी हिस्सा पारंपरिक प्रतीक सकुरा या चेरी ब्लॉसम के आकार का है जिसमें जापान की बुलेट ट्रेन की अत्याधुनिक तकनीक का उपयोग किया गया है। चमकदार गुलाब-सोने की मशाल, जो 71सेंटीमीटर (28 इंच) लंबी है और इसका वजन 1.2 किलोग्राम (2 पाउंड 10 औंस) है, जिसके निर्माण में 2011 के भूकंप और सुनामी के शिकार लोगों के लिए बनाए गए अस्थायी आवास से अपशिष्ट एल्यूमीनियम का उपयोग किया गया है। फुकुशिमा को ओलंपिक मशाल रिले के लिए शुरुआती बिंदु के रूप में चुना गया था। मसाल की यात्रा 26 मार्च 2020 को शुरू होगी। विभन्न स्थानों की यात्रा पूरी करने के बाद मसाल 10 जुलाई को जापान की राजधानी वापस लौटेगी।
अबुधाबी में विशेष ओलंपिक विश्व खेलों में भारत ने 350 से अधिक पदक जीतकर इतिहास रचा
• अबु धाबी में विशेष ओलिंपिक्स खेलों में भारत ने साढ़े तीन सौ से अधिक पदक जीतकर इतिहास रचा है। हौसला, हिम्मत और जोश के रंग में डूबे तीन भारत के स्पेशल एथलीट्स ने स्पेशल ओलिम्पिक खेल में अबतक का अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन दिया है। इस संदेश के साथ कि उनके लिए हर मुकाम संभव है। भारत की स्पेशल ओलिम्पिक टीम ने अबतक 362 पदक प्राप्त किए हैं, जिसमें 85 स्वर्ण पदक, 153 रजत और 124 कांस्य पदक शामिल हैं। पिछले सात दिनों से चल रही खेल की सफलता बहादुरी और मानवीय भावनाओं के जज्बों को सलामी के साथ आज शाम इस ओलिम्पिक खेलों का समापन समारोह आयोजित किया जाएगा।
