World Environment Day 2017
World Environment Day on 05 Jun 2017 marks three years of the launch of Green Initiatives Drive of Indian Navy.
● The past three years have seen a unified approach by rank and file in Indian Navy towards pursuance of green goals.
● The energy optimisation measures in IN cover its entire spectrum – operations, infrastructure and maintenance.
● Concerted efforts are being undertaken to reduce energy use (both electricity and fuel) through self-driven conservation measures.
● In addition to Smart LED Street Lighting in Naval stations, conventional lighting on operational platforms is also progressively migrating to LED lighting, which signifies the scope of policy outreach.
● Further, fuel optimisation measures have been enforced onboard ships without compromising on the operational tempo.
● With innovation driving military technology, a maiden attempt has been made towards use of Renewable Energy onboard a naval platform, with solar panels fitted on top of Helo Hangar of one of the ships towards producing electricity for battery charging.

Government to implement India’s first Rural LED Street Lighting Project in Andhra Pradesh
Government of India, through the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) under the Ministry of Power, would be retrofitting 10 lakh conventional street lights with LED lights in Gram Panchayats of 7 districts in Andhra Pradesh.
● This is the first project for rural LED street lighting in the country under the Government of India’s Street Lighting National Project (SLNP). In the first phase, the replacement will be undertaken in gram panchayats of the districts of Guntur, Prakasham, Nellore, Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur and Chittoor.
● This replacement drive in rural areas will help the gram panchayats to cumulatively save approximately 147 million units of electricity annually and lead to reduction of 12 crore tonnes of CO2.
● The entire upfront capital cost of this project is being funded by French Development Agency Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
● As part of the project, EESL would be carrying out the entire annual maintenance and warranty replacement in these gram panchayats for a period of 10 years.
NMCG Approves Projects Worth Rupee 1900 cr Hundred Percent Sewage Treatment for Haridwar, Rishikesh, Vrindavan, Varanasi, Allahabad and Delhi
Giving another major push to Namai Gange programme National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has approved projects worth Rs 1,900 crore for the creation of sewage treatment infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and UT of Delhi.
● With approval of these projects hundred percent sewage treatment facility will be made available for Haridwar, Rishikesh, Vrindavan, Varanasi, Allahabad and NCT of Delhi.
● These projects were approved in the third meeting of the Executive Committee of NMCG held in New Delhi last month.
● A comprehensive project of interception, diversion and treatment of sewage in Naini, Phaphamau and Jhunsi sewerage zones of Allahabad at an estimated cost of Rs 767.59 crore has been approved.
● Apart from construction of a 42 MLD (million litres per day) Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Naini, the project also encompasses building up of eight sewage pumping stations among other works.
● None of the three zones have any sewerage schemes or any sanctioned STPs as yet.
● These approved projects along with the existing ones would take care of sewage management of the core city of Allahabad bounded by rivers Ganga and Yamuna.
● The projects would also arrest flowing waste water of 18 drains into the rivers to ensure pollution free water for bathing at Sangam during Ardh Kumbh mela 2019.
● With approval of these projects 100% sewage treatment capacity can be achieved in Allahabad.
Handbook, Module & Guidelines on Safe Childhood Programme for Gram Panchayats Released
A Handbook along with Module & Guidelines on protection of Child Rights at Gram Panchayat level was released jointly by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Ministry of Panchayati Raj and UNICEF at New Delhi today.
● The Handbook, Module & Guidelines will be useful for the functionaries of the Panchayati Raj Institutions in protecting the rights of children at the village level.
● Releasing the Handbook, Secretary of Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Shri Jitendra Shankar Mathur called it as a landmark occasion.
● He said, “Unless and until communities are involved, making a difference in the lives of children at the village level is an uphill task.” Shri. Mathur also said that the beneficial legislations which are available in the country should be implemented in reality to empower the children of the country.
● He suggested that the initiative by NCPCR and UNICEF should be “pursued vigorously” for quick outcomes.
● NCPCR Chairperson, Smt. Stuti Kacker, who spoke about the importance of community support which was available in earlier times said that today, with changing socio-economic conditions, children are not always safe.
● Therefore, she said, involvement of Gram Panchayats will go a long way for a safe and secure childhood. Smt. Kacker said keeping that in view, the Handbook, Module & Guidelines have been prepared in collaboration with UNICEF.
M.Venkaiah Naidu launches ‘Segregation of Municipal Waste at Source Initiative for NCR’
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Union Minister of Urban Development Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu launched a campaign on source segregation of municipal waste for National Capital Region (NCR) here today.
● Speaking on the occasion, Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu urged all the citizens to participate in this campaign for its success.
● He said that bins with different colors, shall be used to segregate waste in every house and shop. Green bins shall be used for wet waste and Blue bins for dry waste, he added.
● The Minister pointed that the incorrect disposal and burning of solid waste results in emission of climate change causing Greenhouse gases like Methane and Carbon Dioxide to the tune of 12.69 million tonnes of Carbon Dioxide in the country per year.
● He also said that a recent study has revealed 15 diseases, such as Hepatitis, Cholera and Malaria, caused due to the improper solid waste management.
● Shri Naidu said that a number of policy interventions have been introduced by the Government to encourage processing of municipal solid waste to compost and energy.
● He said that to promote conversion of ‘Waste to Energy’, purchase of electricity so generated has been made mandatory by DISCOMs and to promote ‘Waste to Compost’, a subsidy of Rs 1,500 per ton will be provided by the Government.

Mission Innovation and Clean Energy Ministerial 6-8 June, 2017 Beijing China - Dr. Harsh Vardhan to lead the Indian Delegation
An Indian delegation led by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Environment, Forest & Climate Change will be participating in the Second Mission Innovation and Clean Energy Ministerial along with Senior Officials from the Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Ministry of Power.
● Eighteen months ago on 30th November 2015 leaders of 20 countries came together to launch Mission Innovation (MI), a landmark 5-year commitment to accelerate the pace of innovation and make clean energy widely affordable and accessible worldwide.
● MI now comprises 22 economies and the European Commission, representing the European Union, and collectively accounts for more than 80 percent of the world’s total public financing of clean energy R&D.
● There is a concerted effort by 22 Member countries and EU to enhance the pace of innovation and scale of transformation through this clean energy revolution launch to meet the requirement for economic, energy security and goals in timely manner.

● Shri Jain is presently working as Scientist G with National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee.
● Shri Jain succeeds Shri S. Masood Husain who has moved over as Member (WP&P), Central Water Commission.
● NWDA is responsible for fair distribution of water all across the country.
● It works towards clean water management and distribution.

Nepal, China ink mega hydropower agreement
To build 1,200MW Budhi-Gandaki hydroelectric project Nepal has signed an agreement with a Chinese company to build the largest hydroelectric plant in the impoverished landlocked country, which suffers from a chronic energy shortage.
● Nepal’s Energy Minister Janardan Sharma on Sunday signed the agreement for the China Gezhouba Group Corporation to build the long-mooted 1,200 megawatt Budhi-Gandaki hydroelectric project.
● Estimates put the project cost at $2.5 billion. A financing agreement will be signed later, Ministry spokesman Dinesh Kumar Ghimire said.
● Water-rich Nepal has a mountain river system that could make it an energy-producing powerhouse, but instead it imports much of its electricity from neighbouring India.
● Experts say it could be generating 83,000 megawatts, but its total installed generation capacity currently stands at less than 2% of that.
● Demand for electricity has long outstripped supply in Nepal due to chronic underinvestment and inefficiencies in the power network. The result has been crippling for domestic industry and deterred foreign investment.
● Crucial infrastructure development has flagged in the years of political paralysis that followed the end of the Maoist insurgency in 2006 and the overthrow of the monarchy two years later.

शरद जैन राष्ट्रीय जल विकास एजेंसी (एनडब्ल्यूडीए) के नये महानिदेशक
डॉ. शरद कुमार जैन ने जल संसाधन, नदी विकास एवं गंगा संरक्षण मंत्रालय के अधीनस्थ राष्ट्रीय जल विकास एजेंसी (एनडब्ल्यूडीए) के महानिदेशक का अतिरिक्त प्रभार संभाल लिया है।
● श्री जैन वर्तमान में रुड़की स्थित राष्ट्रीय जल विज्ञान संस्थान (एनआईएच) में वैज्ञानिक जी के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।
● श्री जैन ने श्री एस. मसूद हुसैन के स्थान पर यह अतिरिक्त प्रभार ग्रहण किया है जिनका स्थानांतरण केन्द्रीय जल आयोग के सदस्य (डब्ल्यूपीएंडपी) के रूप में हो गया है।
● राष्ट्रीय जल विकास एजेंसी देशभर में पानी के अपूर्तिकरण और पानी को जगह जगह लोगों तक पहुचाने के लिए जिम्मेदार है।
एनएमसीजी ने हरिद्वार, ऋषिकेश, वृंदावन, वाराणसी, इलाहाबाद और दिल्ली में शत-प्रतिशत मैला प्रबंधन के वास्ते 1900 करोड़ रुपये लागत की परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दी
नमामि गंगे कार्यक्रम को बढ़ावा देने के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छ गंगा मिशन (एनएमसीजी) ने उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार और केंद्रशासित प्रदेश दिल्ली में मल प्रवाह पद्धति (सीवेज) प्रबंधन के लिए बुनियादी ढांचा तैयार करने के वास्ते 1900 करोड़ रुपये लागत की परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दी है।
● इन परियोजनाओं से हरिद्वार, ऋषिकेश, वृंदावन, वाराणसी, इलाहाबाद और दिल्ली के राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र में शत-प्रतिशत सीवेज प्रबंधन की सुविधा उपलब्ध करवाई जाएगी।
● पिछले महीने दिल्ली में आयोजित एनएमसीजी की कार्यकारी समिति की तीसरी बैठक में इन परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दी गई।
● लगभग 767.59 करोड़ रुपये लागत से इलाहाबाद के नैनी, फाफामऊ और झूंसी सीवेज क्षेत्र में सीवेज रोकने, दिशा मोड़ने और प्रबंधन की व्यापक परियोजना के लिए मंजूरी दी गई है।
● नैनी में 42 एमएसडी (मिलियन लीटर प्रतिदिन) क्षमता के सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (एसटीपी) के निर्माण के अतिरिक्त इस परियोजना के अन्य कार्यों में आठ सीवेज पम्पिंग स्टेशन स्थापित करना भी शामिल है।
● तीन क्षेत्रों में से किसी में भी अभी सीवरेज योजना या कोई एसटीपी आवंटित नहीं है। मौजूदा परियोजनाओं के साथ ही इन अनुमोदित परियोजनाओं से गंगा और यमुना नदियों से घिरे इलाहाबाद शहर में सीवेज का प्रबंधन किया जाएगा।
● इन परियोजनाओं से 18 नालों से नदियों में अपशिष्ट पानी डालने से रोका जाएगा, ताकि अर्धकुंभ मेला 2019 के दौरान संगम पर स्नान के लिए प्रदूषण मुक्त जल उपलब्ध हो।
● इन परियोजनाओं की मंजूरी से इलाहाबाद में शत-प्रतिशत सीवेज प्रबंधन क्षमता हासिल की जा सकती है।
ग्राम पंचायतों के लिए सुरक्षित बचपन कार्यक्रम पर पुस्तिका, मॉड्यूल एवं दिशा-निर्देश जारी
ग्राम पंचायत स्तर पर बाल अधिकारों के संरक्षण पर मॉड्यूल एवं दिशा-निर्देशों के साथ एक पुस्तिका भी आज नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग (एनसीपीसीआर), पंचायती राज मंत्रालय और यूनिसेफ द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से जारी की गई।
● पुस्तिका, मॉड्यूल एवं दिशा-निर्देश गांवों के स्तर पर बाल अधिकारों के संरक्षण में पंचायती राज संस्थानों के पदाधिकारियों एवं कार्यकर्ताओं के लिए उपयोगी साबित होंगे।
● केन्द्रीय पंचायती राज मंत्रालय में सचिव श्री जितेन्द्र शंकर माथुर ने पुस्तिका जारी करते हुए इसे ऐतिहासिक अवसर बताया।
● उन्होंने कहा कि जब तक समुदायों को इस मुहिम में शामिल नहीं किया जायेगा तब तक गांवों के स्तर पर बच्चों के जीवन में व्यापक बदलाव सुनिश्चित करना एक कठिन चुनौती है।
● श्री माथुर ने यह भी कहा कि देश में उपलब्ध लाभप्रद कानूनों को सही अर्थों में अमल में लाया जाना चाहिए, ताकि देश के बच्चों को सशक्त बनाया जा सके। उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि त्वरित नतीजे हासिल करने के लिए एनसीपीसीआर और यूनिसेफ की पहल को पूरे उत्साह के साथ अपनाया जाना चाहिए।
● एनसीपीसीआर की अध्यक्ष श्रीमती स्तुति कक्कड़ ने समुदाय की ओर से मिलने वाली सहायता की अहमियत को रेखांकित किया जो पहले आसानी से उपलब्ध हो जाया करती थी।
● उन्होंने कहा कि आज के बदलते सामाजिक-आर्थिक परिदृश्य में बच्चे सदैव सुरक्षित नहीं रहते हैं। अत: इस मुहिम में ग्राम पंचायतों को शामिल करने से सुरक्षित एवं संरक्षित बचपन सुनिश्चित करने में काफी मदद मिलेगी।
● श्रीमती कक्कड़ ने कहा कि इस आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए यूनिसेफ के सहयोग से पुस्तिका, मॉड्यूल और दिशा-निर्देश तैयार किये गये हैं।
विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस 2017
भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा लांच किया गया हरित अभियान विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस- 5 जून, 2017 को 3 वर्ष पूरा हो रहा है। पिछले 3 वर्षों में भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा हर स्तर पर हरित लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति के लिए एकीकृत प्रयास किया गया है।
● ऊर्जा के अधिकतम उपयोग के उपायों में संचालन, अवसंरचना और रखरखाव संपूर्ण रूप से आता है। ऊर्जा (बिजली एवं ईंधन दोनों) उपयोग को कम करने के लिए स्व-प्रेरित उपाय किए गए हैं।
● नौसेना स्टेशनों में स्मार्ट एलईडी स्ट्रीट लाइटिंग के अतिरिक्त परिचालन प्लेटफॉर्मों पर परंपरागत प्रकाश व्यवस्था को तेजी से एलईडी लाइटिंग में बदला जा रहा है।
● जहाजों पर ईंधन के अधिकतम उपयोग के उपाय संचालन व्यवस्था में किसी तरह के उकसान के बिना लागू किया गया है।
● नवाचार प्रेरित सैन्य प्रौद्योगिकी के साथ जहाजों पर नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के उपयोग की दिशा में प्रयास किया गया है। जहाज पर बैट्री चार्ज करने के लिए बिजली की जरूरत पूरी करने के उद्देश्य से जहाज के हेलो हेंगर के शीर्ष पर सौर पैनल लगाए गए हैं।
● ऊर्जा संरक्षण, ऊर्जा पूर्ति विविधिकरण तथा पर्यावरण प्रभाव को कम करना ऊर्जा में आयात निर्भरता में कमी लाने के राष्ट्रीय मिशन के अनुरूप है और जलवायु परिवर्तन लक्ष्यों के रूप में अपेक्षित राष्ट्रीय निर्धारित योगदान (आईएनडीसी) के सिद्धांत के अनुरूप है।
● 2022 तक 100 गीगावाट क्षमता की सौर पीवी स्थापना के लक्ष्य को हासिल करने के लिए मेगावाट से गीगावाट के राष्ट्रीय मिशन के अनुरूप भारतीय नौसेना भी 3 चरणों में 2018 तक 19 मेगावाट सौर पीवी के लक्ष्य में योगदान दे रही है।
● इसके अतिरिक्त भारतीय नौसेना ने नवीकरणीयऊर्जा उत्पादन के लिए अपने कार्य बजट का 1.5 प्रतिशत देने का संकल्प व्यक्त किया है।
● इस कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत सौर पीवी परियोजनाएं नौसेना के सभी कमानों के नौसैनिक स्टेशनों में लागू की जा रही है। जमीन की कमी को देखते हुए छतों पर सौर पीवी पैनल लगाए जा रहे हैं।
मिशन नवाचार एवं स्वच्छ ऊर्जा मंत्रिस्तरीय सम्मेलन चीन के बीजिंग में 6 से 8 जून 2017 तक, डॉ. हर्षवर्धन भारतीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल की अगुवाई करेंगे
विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, पृथ्वी विज्ञान और पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन की अगुवाई में एक भारतीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल द्वितीय मिशन नवाचार एवं स्वच्छ ऊर्जा मंत्रिस्तरीय सम्मेलन में भाग लेगा।
● इस सम्मेलन में विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय और विद्युत मंत्रालय के वरिष्ठ अधिकारीगण भी शिरकत करेंगे।
● 18 माह पहले 30 नवंबर, 2015 को 20 देशों के राजनेता मिशन नवाचार (एमआई) का शुभारंभ करने के लिए एकजुट हुए थे।
● यह नवाचार की गति में तेजी लाने और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा को व्यापक रूप से किफायती एवं विश्व भर में सुगम्य बनाने के लिए एक उल्लेखनीय पंचवर्षीय प्रतिबद्धता है।
● मिशन नवाचार (एमआई) में अब 22 अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के साथ-साथ यूरोपीय आयोग भी शामिल है जो यूरोपीय संघ का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा से जुड़े अनुसंधान एवं विकास (आरएंडडी) में कुल वैश्विक सार्वजनिक वित्त पोषण के 80 प्रतिशत से भी ज्यादा का योगदान देता है।
● यह नवाचार की गति बढ़ाने और इस स्वच्छ ऊर्जा क्रांति शुभारंभ के जरिये बदलाव लाने के लिए 22 सदस्य देशों एवं यूरोपीय संघ की ओर से समेकित प्रयास है, ताकि समय पर आर्थिक, ऊर्जा सुरक्षा के साथ-साथ अन्य लक्ष्य हासिल किये जा सकें।
● भारत संचालन समिति का संस्थापक सदस्य है। इसके साथ ही भारत इन दो उप-समूहों का भी एक सदस्य है: संयुक्त अनुसंधान एवं क्षमता निर्माण और निजी क्षेत्र की भागीदारी।
सरकार आंध्र प्रदेश में भारत की पहली ग्रामीण एलईडी स्ट्रीट लाइटिंग परियोजना क्रियान्वित करेगी
विद्युत मंत्रालय के अधीनस्थ एनर्जी एफिसिएंसी सर्विसेज लिमिटेड के माध्यम से भारत सरकार आंध्र प्रदेश के सात जिलों की ग्राम पंचायतों में 10 लाख परंपरागत स्ट्रीट लाइट के स्थान पर एलईडी लाइट लगायेगी।
● यह भारत सरकार की स्ट्रीट लाइटिंग राष्ट्रीय परियोजना (एसएलएनपी) के तहत देश में ग्रामीण एलईडी स्ट्रीट लाइटिंग से जुड़ी पहली परियोजना है।
● प्रथम चरण में गुंटूर, प्रकाशम, नेल्लोर, कुरनूल, कडप्पा, अनंतपुर और चित्तूर जिलों की ग्राम पंचायतों में यह बदलाव सुनिश्चित किया जायेगा।
● ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में इस बदलाव अभियान से ग्राम पंचायतों को हर साल कुल मिलाकर लगभग 147 मिलियन यूनिट बिजली की बचत करने में मदद मिलेगी और इससे 12 करोड़ टन कार्बन डाई ऑक्साइड (सीओ2) की रोकथाम संभव हो पायेगी।
● इस परियोजना पर आने वाली कुल पूंजीगत लागत का वित्त पोषण एजेंसे फ्रांकेइसे डे डेवलपमेंट (एएफडी) नामक फ्रांसीसी विकास एजेंसी द्वारा किया जायेगा।
● इस परियोजना के तहत ईईएसएल अगले 10 वर्षों तक इन ग्राम पंचायतों में समस्त वार्षिक रख-रखाव और वारंटी प्रतिस्थापन का कार्य करेगी।
● इससे पहले आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री श्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने कहा था कि वर्ष 2018 तक राज्य के समस्त गांवों में लगभग 30 लाख परंपरागत स्ट्रीट लाइट के स्थान पर एलईडी स्ट्रीट लाइट्स लगाई जायेंगी।
● ईईएसएल ने राज्य सरकार को आश्वासन दिया है कि 10 लाख एलईडी स्ट्रीट लाइट लगाने से बिजली में लगभग 59 प्रतिशत की बचत होगी जो 88.2 करोड़ रुपये की वार्षिक मौद्रिक बचत के बराबर है।
वेंकैया नायडू ने एनसीआर के लिए स्रोत स्तर पर ही पालिका क्षेत्र के अपशिष्ट को पृथक करने का कार्यक्रम लांच किया
विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर केंद्रीय शहरी विकास मंत्री श्री एम वेंकैया नायडू ने आज राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीआर) के लिए पालिका क्षेत्र के अपशिष्ट का स्रोत स्तर पर ही विलगन करने का कार्यक्रम लांच किया।
● इस अवसर पर श्री एम वेंकैया नायडू ने नागरिकों से इस अभियान में शामिल होने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने कहा है कि प्रत्येक घर और दुकान से कचरा अलग-अलग एकत्रित करने के लिए विभिन्न रंगों के कूड़ेदानों का उपयोग किया जाएगा।
● गीले कचरे के लिए हरे रंग का कूड़ेदान और सूखे कचरे के लिए नीले रंग का कूड़ेदान होगा। उन्होंने बताया कि गलत निष्पादन और ठोस कचरे को जलाने से देश में प्रतिवर्ष 12.69 मिलियन टन मिथेन और कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड जैसे का प्रभाव होता है।
● उन्होंने बताया कि हाल के अध्ययन में यह खुलासा हुआ है कि हेपेटाइटिस, कालरा और मलेरिया जैसी 15 बीमारियों का कारण अनुचित रूप से ठोस कचरे का प्रबंधन है।
● श्री नायडू ने कहा कि पालिका क्षेत्र में ठोस कचरे से कम्पोस्ट और ऊर्जा उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार द्वारा अनेक नीतिगत कदम उठाए गए हैं।
● उन्होंने बताया कि कचरे से ऊर्जा बनाने के काम को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए बिजली वितरण कंपनियों द्वारा कचरे से बनी बिजली को खरीदना अनिवार्य बना दिया गया है।
● कचरे से कम्पोस्ट बनाने के लिए सरकार द्वारा प्रति टन 1500 रूपये की सब्सिडी दी जाएगी।
नेपाल और चीन ने 1200 मेगावाट की पनबिजली परियोजना हेतु समझौता किया
नेपाल सरकार और चीन की कंपनी के मध्य 1200 मेगावाट की पनबिजली परियोजना हेतु समझौता किया गया.
● इस समझौता से नेपाल को अपने गंभीर बिजली संकट से निपटने में मदद मिलेगी.
● समाचार एजेंसी सिन्हुआ के अनुसार नेपाल सरकार के ऊर्जा मंत्रालय द्वारा पिछले महीने चीन की गेझूबा समूह कॉरपोरेशन (सीजीजीसी) के साथ 1,200 मेगावाट की बुधिगंदाकी पनबिजली परियोजना हेतु सहमति ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर दस्तखत किए.
● नेपाल सरकार ने पनबिजली परियोजना के निर्माण हेतु गेझूबा समूह कॉरपोरेशन (सीजीजीसी) को ठेका दिया है. इस समझौता पत्र पर प्रधानमंत्री के आवास पर दस्तखत किए गए.
● समझौते के अनुसार यह फंड नेपाल सरकार द्वारा स्वीकृत नियमों और शर्तों के अनुसार सॉफ्ट लोन या फिर कमर्शियल लोन के रुप में चीन की फाइनेंशियल इंस्टीट्यूशनल से जुटाया जाएगा.
● समझौते के तहत सीजीजीसी परियोजना की डिजाइनिंग एवं निर्माण कार्यों का प्रबंधन चीन को करना होगा.
