Bangladesh govt orders ‘no mask, no service’ policy
• Bangladesh government has decided that no service will be provided to people who don’t wear a mask. The cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina decided that no one will be allowed to enter offices without the mask. It decided that all offices must install notice boards saying ‘no mask, no service’ in order to control the spread of COVID 19 virus in the country.
• Involving community leaders in the campaign to wear a mask, the Cabinet Secretary said that the government has also talked to the Islamic scholars and religious leaders to publicise this at all mosques through the Imams.
ICICI Bank has shut down his operations in Sri Lanka
• ICICI Bank has shut down his operations in Sri Lanka after getting approval from the Sri Lankan monetary authority. The Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, having considered the request made by ICICI Bank, has granted approval to close down the business operation of the bank in Sri Lanka and cancel the licence issued to it.
• The Director of Bank Supervision being satisfied with the bank complying with the terms and conditions imposed by the Monetary Board, the licence issued to the bank to carry on banking business in Sri Lanka is cancelled with effect from October 23, 2020.

Prahlad Singh Patel virtually launched “Life in Miniature” project
• Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (I/C), Prahlad Singh Patel has virtually launched the “Life in Miniature” project, a collaboration between the National Museum, New Delhi, Ministry of Culture, and Google Arts & culture.
• On the Google Arts & Culture app, online viewers can experience the first Augmented Reality-powered art gallery designed with traditional Indian architecture, and explore a life-size virtual space where you can walk up to a selection of miniature paintings.
• The artworks showcased are presented along with five universal themes of the human relationship with nature, love, celebration, faith, and power.
• Users will be able to see famous miniature collections of the National Museum, like the Ramayana, Royal Saga, Pahari style paintings in never before seen ways and in extraordinary detail, in just a few clicks at co/LifeInMiniature.

59th ITBP Raising Day: 24 October
• Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has observed his 59th raising Day on 24th October. The ITBP was raised in the aftermath of the 1962 Chinese aggression and it has a strength of about 90,000 personnel with 60 battalions on the ground.
• ITBP is one of the five bodies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). It keeps Vigil on the northern borders and prevents border violations. It checks illegal immigration, trans-border smuggling, and maintains peace.
World Day for Audiovisual Heritage: 27 October
• The World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is observed globally on 27 October every year. The day was chosen by UNESCO to raise awareness of the significance and preservation risks of recorded sound and audiovisual documents. The theme of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage 2020: “Your Window to the World”.
• The 33rd session of UNESCO’s General Conference adopted 33 C/Resolution 53 to proclaim 27 October as World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, in commemoration of the adoption, in 1980 by the 21st session of the General Conference, of the Recommendation for the Safeguarding and Preservation of Moving Images.
India Posts releases 75th Anniversary of UN Commemorative Stamp
• Department of Posts (DOP), Ministry of Communications released a commemorative postage stamp on the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Organisations.
• External Affairs Ministry spokesperson, Anurag Srivastava stated India attaches the highest priority to the expansion of the UN Security Council so that it reflects contemporary realities of the world. He stated reformed multilateralism will be a key pillar of the overall approach in the upcoming innings of India as a non-permanent member.

BSE inks MoU with ICCI to support SMEs & start-ups
• Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has signed an agreement with Inventivepreneur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCI) to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups, and promote their listing on the exchange.
• ICCI will offer assistance to BSE in evaluating SMEs and start-ups for listing on BSE SME board.
• ICCI will also help to offer industry connections to respective BSE start-ups globally and support entrepreneurship nationwide through knowledge transmission on government announced programs, acceleration fund, international presence and global business relations.

NTPC ranks 1st among Indian PSUs in Forbes’ World’s Best Employer 2020
• National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has featured on the top on the list of Indian PSUs under the ‘World’s Best Employer 2020’, published by Forbes. The recognition is testimony to NTPC’s commitment towards inculcating best in class practices that are thoughtfully designed and robustly executed, the company stated in a statement.
• The modules have helped thousands of workers from NTPC to grow and think beyond the professional sphere.

बांग्लादेश सरकार, नो मास्क, नो सर्विस ’पॉलिसी का आदेश जारी किया
• बांग्लादेश सरकार ने फैसला किया है कि मास्क नही पहनने वाले लोगों को कोई सेवा नहीं दी जाएगी। प्रधान मंत्री शेख हसीना की अध्यक्षता में कैबिनेट की बैठक ने निर्णय लिया कि किसी को भी बिना मास्क के कार्यालयों में प्रवेश करने की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी। यह निर्णय लिया गया कि सभी कार्यालयों को देश में C- 19 वायरस के प्रसार को नियंत्रित करने के लिए 'नो मास्क, नो सर्विस' कहते हुए नोटिस बोर्ड लगाने होंगे।
• सामुदायिक नेताओं को मुखौटा पहनने के अभियान में शामिल करते हुए, कैबिनेट सचिव ने कहा कि सरकार ने इस्लामिक विद्वानों और धार्मिक नेताओं से इमामों के माध्यम से सभी मस्जिदों में इसे प्रचारित करने के लिए बात की है।
ICICI बैंक ने श्रीलंका में अपना परिचालन बंद किया
• श्रीलंकाई मौद्रिक प्राधिकरण से मंजूरी मिलने के बाद ICICI बैंक ने श्रीलंका में अपने परिचालन को बंद कर दिया है। श्रीलंका के केंद्रीय बैंक के मौद्रिक बोर्ड ने आईसीआईसीआई बैंक द्वारा किए गए अनुरोध पर विचार करते हुए, श्रीलंका में बैंक के व्यवसाय संचालन को बंद करने और इसके लिए जारी लाइसेंस को रद्द करने की मंजूरी दे दी है।
• बैंक पर्यवेक्षण के निदेशक बैंक द्वारा मौद्रिक बोर्ड द्वारा लगाए गए नियमों और शर्तों का पालन करते हुए संतुष्ट हैं, श्रीलंका में बैंकिंग व्यवसाय को चलाने के लिए बैंक को जारी किया गया लाइसेंस 23 अक्टूबर, 2020 से प्रभावी है।

प्रहलाद सिंह पटेल ने "लाइफ इन मिनिएचर" प्रोजेक्ट शुरू किया
• केंद्रीय संस्कृति और पर्यटन राज्यमंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री प्रहलाद सिंह पटेल ने वर्चुअल तरीके से “लाइफ इन मिनिएचर” परियोजना की आज शुरुआत की। संस्कृति मंत्रालय के नई दिल्ली स्थित राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय और गूगल आर्ट्स एंड कल्चर की संयुक्त परियोजना है।
• परियोजना के शुभारंभ के अवसर पर श्री प्रहलाद सिंह पटेल ने प्रधानमंत्री के ‘डिजिटल इंडिया’ पहल की महत्ता और भारत की विरासत के संरक्षण में प्रौद्योगिकी की भूमिका को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्र में अपने नेतृत्व और उत्पाद नवीनता पर अपना ध्यान केंद्रित करने के लिए गूगल की सराहना की। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि सामाजिक सशक्तिकरण और समावेशन के लिए गूगल की प्रतिबद्धता भारत के लिए एक सच्ची संपत्ति है।
• श्री पटेल ने कहा कि "लाइफ इन मिनिएचर" नामक एक नयी परियोजना में दुनिया भर के लोग गूगल आर्ट्स एंड कल्चर पर आज से नई दिल्ली स्थित राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय के कई सौ लघु चित्रों को देख सकेंगे। परियोजना में मशीन लर्निंग, संवर्धित वास्तविकता और उच्च परिभाषा रोबोट कैमरों के साथ डिजिटलीकरण जैसी तकनीकों का इस्तेमाल कर जादुई तरीके से कला के इन विशेष कार्यों को प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा।

59 वाँ ITBP स्थापना दिवस: 24 अक्टूबर
• भारत तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (ITBP) ने 24 अक्टूबर को अपना 59 वां स्थापना दिवस मनाया है। आईटीबीपी को 1962 के चीनी आक्रमण के बाद उठाया गया था और इसमें जमीन पर 60 बटालियन के साथ लगभग 90,000 कर्मियों की ताकत है।
• ITBP केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (CAPF) के पांच निकायों में से एक है। यह उत्तरी सीमाओं पर विजिल रखता है और सीमा उल्लंघन को रोकता है। यह अवैध आव्रजन, सीमा पार से तस्करी की जाँच करता है, और शांति बनाए रखता है।
ऑडीओविज़ुअल हेरिटेज के लिए विश्व दिवस: 27 अक्टूबर
• हर साल 27 अक्टूबर को विश्व स्तर पर ऑडियोविजुअल हेरिटेज के लिए विश्व दिवस मनाया जाता है। यूनेस्को द्वारा दर्ज ध्वनि और दृश्य-श्रव्य दस्तावेजों के महत्व और संरक्षण जोखिमों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए इस दिन को चुना गया था। ऑडीओविज़ुअल हेरिटेज 2020 के लिए विश्व दिवस की थीम: “Your Window to the World”।
• यूनेस्को के सामान्य सम्मेलन के 33 वें सत्र ने गोद लेने की स्मृति में 27 अक्टूबर को विश्व दिवस के रूप में घोषित करने के लिए 33 सी / संकल्प 53 को अपनाया, 1980 में सामान्य सम्मेलन के 21 वें सत्र तक, सुरक्षा और संरक्षण के लिए सिफारिश की।
इंडिया पोस्ट ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र स्मारक डाक टिकट की 75 वीं वर्षगांठ मनाया
• डाक विभाग (डीओपी), संचार मंत्रालय ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र संगठनों की 75 वीं वर्षगांठ पर एक स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किया।
• विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता, अनुराग श्रीवास्तव ने कहा कि भारत संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद के विस्तार के लिए सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देता है ताकि यह दुनिया की समकालीन वास्तविकताओं को प्रतिबिंबित करे। उन्होंने कहा कि बहुपक्षवाद एक गैर-स्थायी सदस्य के रूप में भारत की आगामी पारी में समग्र दृष्टिकोण का एक प्रमुख स्तंभ होगा।

BSE ने SMEs और स्टार्ट-अप्स का समर्थन करने के लिए किए MoU पर हस्ताक्षर
• बॉम्बे स्टॉक एक्सचेंज (BSE) ने छोटे और मध्यम उद्यमों (SMEs) और स्टार्ट-अप्स का समर्थन करने और एक्सचेंज पर अपनी लिस्टिंग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए इन्वेंटिविप्रेन्योर चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्रीज (Inventivepreneur Chamber of Commerce and Industries ICCI) के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
• ICCI, BSE SME बोर्ड में लिस्टिंग के लिए SME और स्टार्ट-अप के मूल्यांकन में BSE को सहायता प्रदान करेगा।
• ICCI विश्व स्तर पर संबंधित BSE स्टार्ट-अप को उद्योग कनेक्शन देने में मदद करेगा और सरकार द्वारा घोषित कार्यक्रमों, त्वरण कोष, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय उपस्थिति और वैश्विक व्यापार संबंधों पर ज्ञान संचरण के माध्यम से राष्ट्रव्यापी उद्यमशीलता का समर्थन करेगा।
