-Satya Pal Malik transferred to Goa, Girish Chandra Murmu made Governor of Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has been transferred to Goa while former IAS officers Girish Chandra Murmu and Radha Krishna Mathur have been appointed Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh respectively.

Radha Krishna Mathur is a retired 1977 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tripura cadre. Radha Krishna Muthur retired as the Chief Information Commissioner of India (CIC) in November 2018.

-IAS officer Radha Krishna Mathur has been appointed the Lieutenant Governor of the union territory of Ladakh, the reorganisation of which will take effect from October 31, 2019.

The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has initiated a probe in the deals between Deepak Kochchar's NuPower Renewables and Videocon Group in connection with the ICICI Bank Videocon loan default case.

-Earlier, Ministry of Corporate Affairs had asked the SFIO to initiate investigations in dealings between Nupower Renewables -- a company owned by Deepak Kochhar.

If turned down by the court to protest outside the Indian High Commission in London, the protestors will use a bus to launch their digital campaign. Metropolitan Police under Section 12 Public Order Act 1986 imposed restrictions on the protest "in order to prevent serious disruption to the community".

South Korea will no longer seek special treatment reserved for developing countries by the World Trade Organization in future negotiations given its enhanced global economic status, its finance minister said.

-Rajbhasha Awards were presented by Prasar Bharati

Prasar Bharati's CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati presented the Rajbhasha Awards to the winners of the Hindi Pakhwada competition.

 ♦ The theme of the competition was Plastic Free India and Cleanliness drive. 

♦ The competition was conducted in 10 categories, including essay writing, poster making, story writing, and others. 

♦ Prasar Bharati announced that from next year onwards, social media and technology would possibly be brought in to make Hindi competition more innovative

-Anup Singh was awarded the Udyog Rattan Award
