PLEASE CORRECT THIS QUESTION

Question:
Find the equation of the line joining the points of intersection of 2x + y = 4 with x – y + 1 = 0 and 2x – y – 1 = 0 with x + y – = 0.
Options:
A) 2x + 5y + 7 = 0
B) 3x – 2y + 1 = 0
C) 5x + 7y + 2 = 0
D) 4x – 6y + 7 = 0
Solution:
Ans: (b)

2x + 4 = 4 ..........(1)

x – y + 1 = 0 .......(2)

from (1) & (2)

x = 1 and y = 2

\(\therefore\) intersection point = (1,2) .

2x – y – 1 = 0    ......... (3)

x + y – 8 = 0 ...........(4)

from (3) & (4)

x = 3, y = 5

\(\therefore\) intersection point = (3,5)

equation of line formed from point

(1,2) and (3,5) is

– 2 = \(\cfrac{5-2}{3-1} \)  (x – 1)

\(\Rightarrow\) 3x – 2y + 1 = 0
