SSC CHSL Previous Year Question Papers, Exam Analysis 2015 & Cut-off Marks

SSC CHSL is one of the most popular government examinations of all times. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC CHSL examination every year on annual basis to recruit candidates for the posts of “LDC (Lower Division Clerk)” and “DEO (Data Entry Operator)”. In 2015, about 70 lakh candidates appeared for this examination and an increase in this number is expected this year. The SSC CHSL 2016 Tier 1 examination is scheduled from 7th January 2016 to 5th February 2016.

As we all are aware of the exam pattern of SSC CHSL exam, the paper consists of questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for each incorrect response. Except for the ‘English Language’ section, all other sections had questions in both ‘Hindi and English’.

SSC CHSL Tier I exam: Overall Analysis of SSC CHSL 2015

The SSC CHSL 2015 examination was ‘Moderate’ as far as the difficulty level is concerned. An attempt of about 135 - 150 questions along with accuracy of around 85 - 90 percent can be considered as a safe one.

SSC CHSL Tier I: Section- wise Analysis of SSC CHSL 2015

English Language:

  • Questions were asked from “Direct and Indirect Speech”.
  • There were questions like “PQRS Arrangement”.
  • Other questions were asked from topics like Antonyms & Synonyms, Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Change of voice, Idioms & Phrases, One-word Substitution, Spot the Error, Spellings, Sentence Correction, etc. 
  • The difficulty level of the questions was moderate.  
  • Questions from grammar were relatively easy.
  • An attempt of 30- 35 questions was a great attempt.       

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

  • Most of the questions asked were in accordance to the candidates’ expectations.
  • Questions were asked from topics like Odd one out, Analogy and Visual reasoning, Statements and Conclusions, Puzzles, Missing numbers, Problems on Ages, Series (Numbers and Letters), Arrangement of words, Matrix questions, Direction Sense, Coding and Decoding, Venn Diagrams, Formation of words, etc. 
  • The difficulty level of the questions was easy.  
  • An attempt of 40- 45 questions was a great attempt.       

Quantitative Aptitude:

  • There were questions on DI which were based on bar graphs and pie charts.
  • Questions were mostly from topics like Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Geometry, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Time Speed and Distance, Percentages, Time and work, etc.
  • The difficulty level of the questions was relatively easy- moderate.  
  • An attempt of 40- 45 questions was a great attempt in this section.

General Awareness:

  • Questions from Economy and aspects, Science and Technology, Polity and Static GK dominated the paper with large number of questions.
  • Questions were mostly from topics like History, Economics, Geography, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computers, Computers, Current Affairs, Miscellaneous etc.
  • The difficulty level of the questions was relatively moderate.  
  • An attempt of 25- 32 questions was a great attempt in this section.

  1. Please log in to the official website of SSC i.e. www.ssc.nic.in.
  2. Look out for the ‘Results’ section and select it.
  3. Click on the tab which says “CHSL”.
  4. You will find a link saying SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2015 Tier 2 Result for the exam held on September 18, 2016.
  5. Click on the link which says ‘results’ to download the results in PDF format.
  6. Open the file, search you name/ roll number/ registration number in the file.
  7. Analyse the Status of results. Go through the Marks and Write up (Cut- off Marks).

Railway Recruitment Board, otherwise known as RRB, has released notifications for admit cards for NTPC exam (2nd Stage). RRB Bilaspur, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Chennai, RRB Gorakhpur, RRB Guwahati, RRB Jammu and Srinagar, RRB Ahmedabad, RRB Ajmer, RRB Allahabad, RRB Bengaluru, RRB Bhopal, RRB Bhubaneswar, RRB Kolkata, RRB Malda, RRB Ranchi, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Siliguri, RRB TVM, RRB Mumbai, RRB Muzaffarpur and RRB Patna have already published the 1st stage exam’s results. Now, they are all set to publish admit cards for NTPC Graduate CEN 03/2015 2nd stage exam. The examination will be online and it is scheduled to be held in January 2017 and February 2016.

The RRB will publish call letters of RRB NTPC 2016 in two different parts:

RRB NPTC Preliminary e-Call Letter (Part 2) - The Part 1 of RRB Admit Card will be issued today 2:00 PM Onwards for making travel arrangements. It will contain the name of the test centre city.

RRB NTPC Final e-Call Letter (Part 2) - This will be part 2 of RRB Admit card which will contain info about ‘Test Centre Name’ and ‘Address’ will be issued 4 days before the date of exam.

Note: You can download the admit cards of RRB Non- Technical NTPC CEN 03/2015 2nd stage exam from the official website of RRB. The RRB NTPC Admit Card 2016 CEN 03/2015 will be officially available in the month of Januaryuary 2017. The candidates who have managed to qualify in the 1st stage exam will be able to sit for the 2nd stage exam.

SSC CGL Tier II Re-Exam 2016 Official Notice - Check Exam Dates

The SSC CGL Tier-II Examination 2016 was conducted by Staff Selection Commission from 30 November to 2 December 2016. A total of 1,49,330 candidates were eligible for the online Computer based test for CGL Tier II in two shifts per day at across the country in which 1,20,933 candidates have actually appeared. This is around 80.93% of the total qualified candidates.

The Commission has received representations from some of the candidates challeging that they faced technical and other related problems during the examination at some of the venues. The Commission, after due examination of video footages, has taken a serious view of certain candidates found to have been actively involved in disturbing and instigating other candidates to disrupt the process of the examination. The Commission proposes to take appropriate action against such candidates, which may include disqualification and debarment for a period of three years, in consonance with the extant guidelines. The SSC received many complaints till 9th December.
