  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 marks in Paper-I and Paper-III for each wrong answer.

  • Exam will be conducted online.

Many student are confused during preparation because they get less time to prepare for a vast syllabus. This arises due to lack of proper time management.

5 Time Management tips to crack SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2016:

  1. Understand and become familiar with the exam syllabus and pattern. This will be the key as you know what to study.
  2. Complete the whole syllabus before a week of the exam and give last week for revision.
  3. While revising, keep focus on important topics and special points which you note down while studying.
  4. Try to finish revising at least 2-3 days before the exam.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus and Pattern 2016

The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam dates  and Shift timings are as follows: 

On Day 1, i.e exam commencement date - 30 October 2016 - there paper 1 of Quantitative Aptitude and paper 2 of English Language will be conducted in two shifts. The slot time/shift timing for paper 1 will be from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Paper 2 will  start at 2.45 PM and end by 4.45 PM . Similar exam schedule will be followed for SSC CGL tier 2 on the second day( 1st December).  On Day 3 i. e 2nd December 2016,  optional papers of Statistics (Paper -3) will be conducted from 10 AM to 12 PM and General Studies (Paper -4) will be conducted from 2.45 PM to 4.45 PM. The final day (3rd December) will have only one shift , which is afternoon shift for Paper 4. 

In summary, SSC CGL Tier 2 will be held in 4 days and shifts will be morning and evening for different papers.   • SSC CGL Tier II will be an objective type of paper and will consist of multiple choice questions.

  • All candidates will have to come to the examination venue along with their admit cards. Any candidate without admit card will not be allowed to appear the examination.

  • The scores which candidates obtain in SSC CGL Tier I & Tier II altogether would be considered as a criteria to decide the eligibility of the candidate to sit for Tier III and IV.

The paper III is all about data and its representation in various domains and various forms. This paper will be of 200 marks and will consist of 100 questions. The marks each question would carry is 2 marks and for every incorrect response, 0.50 marks will be deducted from the score. The scope of the paper can be:

  • Data Collection and Representation:  Data collection methods, Distribution of frequencies, etc.
  • Measures of Central Tendency: Mean, Median and Mode, Partition Values etc.
  • Measures of Dispersion: Relative Dispersion, Common Measures like angle, quartile deviations, Standard Deviation & Mean Deviation.

SSC has scheduled CGL Tier-2 examination from November 26, 2016. It will held in different shift timings on 26 & 27 November and 3 & 4 December.

 

SSC CGL Exam tier-2 exam has following sections :

  • Paper 1 - English
