The NMAT exam by GMAC, also known as NMIMS Management Aptitude Test, is a popular entrance exam conducted annually by NMIMS institute (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), Mumbai, Maharashtra. Aspirants who are planning to pursue management studies in India can apply for this exam. This particular exam lets them take admission in the following fields-
- Full Time MBA
- MBA (HR)
- MBA (Banking)
- MBA (Capital Market)
- MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)
The above mentioned programs are the ones that are for the Mumbai campus. There is a full time course for 2 year PGDM program at Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses as well. This entrance exam is a national level management exam and people from all over the country can apply for it.
Number of seats provided for this course is 800.
Eligibility Criteria for the NMAT 2016 Exam is as follows:
- Candidates should be a graduate in any stream
- Minimum 50% marks must have been secured by the candidates in their graduation
- The graduation should have been done from a recognized university
- For the full time programs, candidates who are still in their final year of graduation and would be giving the final exam can also apply for NMAT
- Candidates are applicable for provisional admission on the condition that they pass their final exam of Bachelor’s degree in first attempt itself and minimum 50% aggregate marks should be secured in the stipulated duration
- In case the candidates want to procure full time programs then they must have at 2 years of post-qualification work experience
