1940 comprises both captains and soldiers but as per your solution the total no of people becomes 2037, which is wrong as per the given question

A group of 1940 persons consisting of captains and soldiers is travelling in a train. For every 20 soldiers there is one captain. The number of captains in the group is
Options:
A) 70
B) 97
C) 80
D) 85
Solution:
Ans: (B)
Clearly, out of every 20 persons, there is one captain.
So, number of captains = 1940 / 20 = 97.
