Let the two numbers 98a and 98b

Then, their sum = 98a + 98b = 98(a+b)

Their sum is a multiple of 98. Only option c) is divisible by 98.

Sum of numbers = 1372

solution is wrong because being only the multiple of 98 cannot sayify other conditions

Dear Student,
The given solution is correct.
If HCF of two no a and b is X then sum of numbers is Xa +Xb
Therefore in this case Sum is 98a+98b , it means sum will be divisible by 98.
From options only C is correct.
