wrong solution (Question: 259959.0 )

answer should be 100/6 . let cp of 12 apple is 12 then sp of 9 apple will be 12 or per apple price is 4/3 or we can say if cp of an apple is 3 then sp will be 4. now profit of 5 apple will be 5 which is dicsount on 10 apple so per apple discount is 0.5 so effective sp of an apple will be 3.5 so required difference will be 0.5 which is 1/6 of cp

Question:

CP of 12 apples is equal to SP of 9 apples and the discount on 10 apples is equal to the profit on 5 apples. What is the percentage difference between the CP and SP of apples?

16 23   %

Solution:

Ans: (d)

Let CP of 1 apple = 1

CP of 12 apples = 12

SP of 9 apples = 12

Required difference = 3/9  × 100 = 33 13   %
