"An MP" does that looks correct to you????

Question:

In Delhi, an MP snapped on a journalist and asked him not to indulge in politics.

Options:
A) In Delhi, an MP
B) snapped on a journalist and
C) asked him not to indulge in politics
D) No error
Solution:

Ans: (b) Change ‘snapped on’ to ‘snapped at’. 

Snap at → To speak sharply or angrily to someone.

Snap on → To attach something to something else.

Dear Student,

an MP is correct...In any case, the rule is that you use "an" if the next word begins with a vowel sound.....

it is correct. article an is used according to the sounds and not vowels like a,e,i,o,u .
