A regular hexagon has 6 equilateral triangles. Therefore answer would be 12-/3a^2.

The area of a regular hexagon of side 2a is –

Dear Student.

Area of equilateral triangle is -/3 a^2 /(4)
In Hexagon have number of triangle is 6
thus
Area of Hexagon= 6* -/3 a^2 /(4)
Put a=2a
Area = 6-/3 a^2
Given answer is correct, try again.
