In question shadow of a house is 100 meter in solution you take height of house is 100

Question:
When the sun is 30° above the horizontal, the length of shadow cast by a building 100 m high is:
Options:
A) 100\(\sqrt{3}\) metre
B) \(\cfrac{100}{\sqrt{3}}\) metre
C) 50 metre
D) 50\(\sqrt{3}\) metre
Solution:
Ans: (a) Let AB be the building and AC be its shadow.

AB = 100 m and θ = 30°

 \(\cfrac{AB}{AC}\) = tan30° = \(\cfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\)

  \(\cfrac{AB}{AC}\) = tan30° = \(\cfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\)

AC = AB\(\sqrt{3}\) = 100\(\sqrt{3}\) metre
