This Question is same as the third one...So, answer should be 480

Question:
A dealer sold two watches for Rs.3,600 each, gaining 25% on one and losing 25% on another. How much he gain or loss in the whole transaction?
Options:
A) 460
B) 470
C) 480
D) None of these
Solution:

Ans: (c)

SP of first watch = Rs. 3600, gain = 25%
CP of first watch = (100/125) x 3600 = Rs. 2880
SP of second watch = Rs. 3600, loss = 25%
CP of second watch = (100/75) x 3600 = Rs. 4800
Total CP = (2880 + 4800) = 7680
Total SP = (3600 x 2) = Rs. 7200
Loss = (7680 - 7200) = Rs. 480
So, on the whole, there is a loss of Rs. 480
