Wrong solution and answer (Question: 232964.0 )

In solution you took 25 as average spent but average would be after including the 19th ones amount.
correct solution should be....
19(x)=18(25)+x+15

Question:

Out of 19 persons, 18 persons spent Rs.25 each for their meals. The 19th one spent Rs.15 more than the average expenditure of all the other. The total money spent by all of them was (in Rs.)

Options:
A) 465
B) 196
C) 300
D) 490

Dear Student,
Please read the question carefully.
In the question they have said that , 19th person spends 15 more than average of all others*.
All other means that average of remaining 18 persons that is given as 25.

Abhishek you misunderstood the question. 450rs is spent by the rest 18 persons. It's average will be 450/18=25. So, that is why in the solution sir has taken 25 as the average. solution: (18*25)+15+25=Rs.490
