the solution provided is not self-explanatory and it is more confusing than clearing our doubts. when we calculate averages as per your sequence the average is not increasing sequentially. i am ended up with obtaining fractinns.

5 members of a team are weighed consecutively and their average weight calculated after each member is weighed. If the average weight increases by one kg each time, how much heavier is the last member than the first one?
