Question:

Sandeep, Upender and Akhilesh started a company each investing Rs.2,50,000. After 5 months, Sandeep withdraw Rs.70, 000 Upender withdraw Rs.30,000 and Akhilesh invests Rs.10,000 more. At the end of the year, a total profit of Rs.83,700 was recorded. Find the share of Akhilesh?

Options:
A)

Rs.37,000

B)

Rs.47,000

C)

Rs.28,700

D)

Rs.30,700

Solution:

Ans: (d) Total invest of Sandeep = 5 × 2,50,000 + 7 × (2,50,000 – 70,000)

= 1250000 + 1260000

Rs.2510000

Total investment of Upendra = 5 × 2,50,000 + 7 × (2,50,000 – 30,000)

= 1250000 + 1540000

Rs.2790000

Total investment of Akhilesh = 5 × 2,50,000 + 7 (2,50,000 + 1,0000)

= 1250000 + 1820000

Rs.30,70,000

Ratio of their investment = 2510000 : 2790000  : 3070000

= 251 : 279 : 307

Part of profit of Akhilesh =   \(83700\times\frac{307}{837}\)

Rs.30,700
