q. should be synonyms not antonym

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In each of the following questions, select the word which is a Antonym of the word in bold.

He gazed at the painting for hours but could not figure out what exactly was wrong with it.

Options:
A) Flashed
B) Glanced  
C) Stared 
D) Figured
Solution:

Ex: The word ‘gazed’ means to look steadily at something for a long time. Hence, its appropriate synonym should be option (c) ‘stared’. Option (b) ‘glanced’ is an antonym of the given word. It means to go through something quickly and not thoroughly.
