triangle OAB is right triangle and it is not following pythagoras theorom according to information given.. how it can be?

Question:

In the given figure, triangle ABC is drawn such that AB is tangent to a circle at A whose radius is 4 cm and BC passes through centre of the circle. Point C lies on the circle. If BC = 26 cm and AB = 12 cm, then what is the area of triangle ABC (in cm2)?

In fact ∆ oab isn't following the basic rules of a triangle too...difference of any two sides should be less than third side...
