if x=1 then x^6+1=2 but x-1is 0 , so 1/0 is infinite
how can you say that remainder is 1

Question:

Which one of the following statement is correct?

Options:
A)

If x6 + 1 is divided by x + 1, then the remainder is -2

B)

If x6 + 1 is divided by x - 1, then the remainder is 2

C)

If x6 + 1 is divides by x + 1, then the remainder is 1

D) If x+1 is divided by x - 1, then the remainder is -1
Solution:
Ans: (b)

\(\therefore\) (a) is not correct.

    (b) x = 1

 x6 + 1 = (1)6 + 1 = 1+1 = 2 =  remainder
