toffe kha se aa gya question me.

Question:

A dishonest dealer claims to sell a product at its cost price. He uses a counterfeit weight which is 20% less than the real weight. Further greed overtook him and he added 20% impurities to the product. Find the net profit percentage of the dealer?

Options:
A)

 44%

B)

 40%

C)

 50%

D)

 56.25%

Solution:

Let’s assume he buy 1000 toffees with CP of Rs. 1000

After 20% less weight means – 800 toffees will be there

In that 800 toffees, 20% toffees are adulterated.

So, he is selling 960 toffees.

In corrupt weighing scaler 800 toffees at Rs.1000

Similarly, 960 toffees at Rs. (1000*960)/800 = Rs.1200

He took 1200 rupees for 960 toffees out of which 800 were genuine only

Actual cost of these 800 is Rs. 800

Profit = 1200-800=400

Profit % = 50%
