how it is possible I don't understand this one

Question:

If '×' means '–', '–' means '÷', '+' means '×' and '÷' means '+', then what will be the value of the following expression? 

16 × 8 ÷ 4 – 3 + 9 = ?

Options:

B)

Solution:

Ans: (c)

16 – 8 + 4 ÷ 3 × 9  

= 16 – 8 + 12 

= 16 + 12 – 8 

= 28 – 8 = 20
