The answer is, "He said that he had been washing his clothes when I had called. because the formula is 1 ka 3 and 2 ka 4 means indefinite perfect me and continuous perfect continuous me change hoga

they have never followed this rule until this question !!! thats why i chose option C

no bro.. When time clause is there, the rule doesn't work
