Percentage expenses on various items during book production and sale



If the “Miscellaneous expenses” are Rs. 6000, how much more are “Binding and cutting charges” than “Miscellaneous”?

Options:
A) Rs. 16000
B) Rs. 15500
C) Rs. 21000
D) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (c) Required amount = \(\cfrac{6000}{4}\times18 - 6000\)
= Rs. 27000 -Rs. 6000 = Rs.21000

Dear Student,

miscellaneous expenses= 4%= 6000
1%= 6000/4
for binding and cutting = 18% = 6000/4*18= 27000

In this question asking for difference thus we subtract
difference = 27000-6000= 21000
