Find the greatest number by which the expression 72n - 32n is always exactly divisible , n is natural number

Options:
A) 4
B) 10
C) 20
D) 40
Solution:
Ans:(d) If n=1  then 72 - 32  =40, so the value of given expression will always be a multiple of 40.i.e. the number is always divisible by 40.

72n - 32n  is always divisible by 49 - 9 = 40

then 2n=6 so 7^6 - 3^6 =116920, which is divisible by 40... Given answer is correct
