ur explanation is not in accordance with the ques.. the statement is -
taller than me, not taller than I am...

Question:
DIRECTIONS: A part of the sentence may have an error and rest are correct. Find out which part of a sentence has an error, the corresponding letter of that part is your answer. If a sentence is free from error, then your answer is (d).

Though she appears to be very tall (a)/ she is just an inch (b)/ taller than me. (c)/No error (d)

Options:
A) a
B) b
C) c
D) d
Solution:
Ans: (c) here, comparison is between she and me so Subjective case will be used.

Replace 'me' by 'I' in option (c).

Here the comparison is between two subjectives, and if the comparison is between two subjectives/nominatives than we use subjective/nominative case of pronoun after Than/as

1.  Nobody knows it better than I do.

2.  No one is better judge than he is.

3.  I earn less than he does.

TALLER THAN ME is wrong. it should be TALLER THAN I. SHE is subjective case so use I(SUBJECTIVE CASE)
