The population of a village is 5500. If the number of males increases by 11% and the number of females increases by 20%, then the population becomes 6330. Find the population of females in the village.

11 % of 3000 is 330

check your given answer
male -3000 after increment of 11%= 3300
female-2500 after increment of 20%=3000
total they became 6300 and in question it is given 6330
what type of knowledge expert you are !! 7grade student is even better than you .

Given answer is correct. explanation by other method.
Let number of females=x
number of males= 5500-x
according to question
(5500-x)*111/100+ x*120/100= 6330
111(5500−x)+120x=633000
610500−111x+120x=633000
9x=22500
x= 2500
