Percentage of Pankaj’s Investment out of Total Investment

What is the ratio of total amount invested by Pankaj in C and E together to the total amount invested by Hemant in the same schemes together?
Options:
A) 83 : 129
B) 85 : 129
C) 86 : 129
D) 89 : 129
Solution:
Ans: (c)

Pankaj investedAmount in C = 24000 × 40/100  = 9600

Amount in E = 62000 × 40/100  = 24800

Total amount = 34400

Hemant Invested in C and E = 14400 + 37200 = 51600

Ratio = 344 : 516 = 86 : 129
