its frustrating..please solve this issues...

Question:
From a solid cylinder of height 15 cm and radius of the base 8 cm a cone of same height and same base is removed. The volume of the remaining solid is –
Options:
A) 240\(\pi\) cm3
B) 5280\(\pi\) cm3
C) 640\(\pi\) cm3
D) 360\(\pi\) cm3
Solution:

Required volume = volume of cylinder - volume of cone

= pi r^2 h - 1/3 pi r^2 h

= 2/3 pi r^2 h

Now, put r=8 and h=15

so, required volume =  2/3 pi 8^2 15 = pi * 64 *10 = 640pi cm^3

Given option is correct, please simplify it properly.

See sol:

Required volume = volume of cylinder - volume of cone

= pi r^2 h - 1/3 pi r^2 h

= 2/3 pi r^2 h

Now, put r=8 and h=15

so, required volume = 2/3 pi 8^2 15 = pi * 64 *10 = 640pi cm^3
