Wrong option i guess. And yes do answer promptly (Question: 252050.3 )

Defer: put off (an action or event) to a later time; postpone.
So, here if defer is used, that implies 'the temptation ' will get postponed.
Instead if 'removes' (Option 'c') is used, then it would be more appropriate i guess.
