ans shoud be 3

Question:
A works thrice as efficiently as B and C works thrice as efficiently as D. If A and C together can complete a piece of work in six days , find the number of days that A,B, C and D together take to complete the same work.
Options:
A)

5

B) 6
C) Can’t be determined
D) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (d)

  A : B

\(\eta\)3 : 1

  C  : D

\(\eta\) 3 : 1

(A+C) x 6

= (A+B+C+D) x t

6 x 6 = 8 x t

t = \(\frac{36}{8}=\frac{18}{4}=\frac{9}{2} \)

t = \(4\frac{1}{2} days\)
