volume of prism= area of base* height
and with this formula, the height comes out 12 cm which doesn't match any of the options

Question:
Base of right prism is an equilateral triangle of side 6cm. If the volume of the prism is 108√3 cm3, then its height is:
Options:
A) 9cm
B) 10cm
C) 11cm
D) 12 cm
Solution:

Area of the base = \(\cfrac{√3}{4}\)  (side)2

= \(\cfrac{√3}{4}\) × 6 × 6 = 9√3 sq. cm.

∴ volume of the prism= (Area of the base × height)

                     ⇒ 108√3 = (9√3 × h)

h = \(\cfrac{108√3}{9√3}\)   = 12 cm
