Sir, In class we were told to put adverb of time at the end of the sentence. Than which option to click if both options (as above explained and as was taught in class) are present.

Question:
DIRECTIONS: A sentence/ a part of the sentence is underlined. Below are given alternatives to the underlined part at (A), (B), (C) which may improve the sentence. Choose the correct alternative. In case no improvement is needed your answer is (D).
It is time to immediately put the work in hand.
Options:
A) to put the work immediately in hand
B) to put the work in hand immediately
C) to put work in hands immediately
D) no improvement
Solution:
Ans:(a) 'to put the work immediately in hand' should replace the underlined part. The position of adverbs in a sentence is important. 'Immediately', which is an adverb of time, is generally placed after the verb.
